You give the architect some floorplans you're interested in, the facades you like and then they work their magic. We revised the drawings around 10 times before we finalised the design, but well worth it. Went past the house yesterday and most of the gyprocking has been done to the ground and first floor. Kitchen and bathroom cabinetry are being made at the moment. Things are moving along real quick. Re: Experience with Sett Homes 105Mar 14, 2014 12:21 pm NAPOLI986 maverick343 It's standard range mate. Mate what is the name of your roof tile? Is it slimline or contour? Or neither? Sorry mate. For some reason I got unsubscribed to this thread and stop receiving update notifications. Ours roof tile was Gunmetal in Contour. Hello Mikeann, I loved the way you have taken the picture at different stages from almost the same perspective. I should've done that. Too late!!! He recently moved to a new office, so maybe things are still being setup. Try calling him again and get an update. It does take a bit of time as they need to do the estimating on the costs and depending on what you have requested. Put it this way, if you went with a project builder it would probably take just as long, but they charge around $1,000 just for a quote. At least does it for free. Be patient and you'll be rewarded. Re: Experience with Sett Homes 115May 07, 2014 3:38 pm From memory it was around 3-4 weeks. But then i kept adding things and changing things, so all up probably close to 8 weeks before we finally signed on the dotted line. Funny thing is, I thought I had covered all we wanted in the tender, but once the build starts you realise what extra stuff you want to add. So my variations are crazy at the moment, even though I included a lot of extras in my tender. Re: Experience with Sett Homes 116May 08, 2014 2:30 pm I understand what you mean, thats why we wanted to get the ball rolling so that we can look at a few other tenders and make a decision, anyway how is your build progressing, any new photos you managed to get Re: Experience with Sett Homes 117May 08, 2014 3:03 pm Oh yeah, here are some updates from the build Garage door installed Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Front door installed Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Front door stained Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Kitchen installed Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Loving the undermount sink Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Void light installed and most of the glass balustrade installed Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Bathroom vanity Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Ensuite vanity Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Driveway's in Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Not much building go on in Croydon given the project has been on hold for years.
