Turned up at 2:45pm for our 3pm meeting, waited for half an hour for SS and still no sign of him, so I called CLO and she said that there was a mix up and he wouldnt be there, grrr Other half had to arrange an early leave from work for nothing, so we will try and arrange it for another time. So over the weekend we went out and ordered our carpets etc, we went for a kind of grey colour, the photo doesnt do it justice, looks a bit brown/purple. We are having the dark one in the theatre and the one at the bottom of the pic in all bedrooms. But then my dilemma starts... I had originally wanted shiny porcelain tiles, but after looking around I have decided that I prefer the semi gloss, but I cant seem to find any that really stand out to me. Scott really likes this tile, Its 600x600 semi gloss porcelain, but I'm just afraid of it looking too old fashioned. Any advice or opinions would be great, should we go with this tile, if it wont look too 'old'? Turned up at 2:45pm for our 3pm meeting, waited for half an hour for SS and still no sign of him, so I called CLO and she said that there was a mix up and he wouldnt be there, grrr Geez that is shocking!! It's understandable that mix ups happen but not to let you know about it is really poor form! How often do you get updates from your CLO? I was told that we would get fortnightly calls but the only time she ever calls is to arrange a meeting or deliver bad news. The carpets look lovely We are planning on having grey carpets too but probably a bit darker in the theatre. It's really hard to get a good photo of the colour isn't it? Hubby asked me why I wanted purple carpets when I came home with a heap of pics I'm no help with tiles I'm afraid. I never looked at any living area tiles because we are having hardwood. Maybe have a look in some display homes to see if you can see some patterns/colours that you like. It's really hard to judge with just one tile. Hope your meeting went well Our custom Gemmill Home in Bedfordale WA Build thread:https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=53788 Timeline on page 1 Re: Our Gemmill Home - Tile advice needed..... 60Mar 15, 2013 12:15 am Hi Leanne, I have been following a few of the Gemmill home builds for a while since I signed up with them in June. I'm actually building the economy version of your house- The Royle. I'm very excited for you, it's good to see all your pics. We are expecting slab down by the end of the week, but it looks like the weather hasn't helped us today. Where are you building? I'm in landsdale. For the theatre I've gone for similar carpet too, but in a darker shade I think. It also turned out purple in the photos. I think your tiles would be pretty nice if you have a light crisp all colour. If you get gloss, you'll go mad with cleaning all the footprints. How big is the total size of your home? And do you mind if I ask how much it was to build your home?
