hi everyone first time poster, i have a few questions and more to come as i go im sure.
i am building a steel frame home, it is a owner build with help from expierenced friends at a budget. frame is up and ready for roof, we are putting colourbond on and i have been reading earlier posts regarding the use of sisalation or anti con under colourbond to reduce heat and prevent moisture.
#1 my first question is as i have a raked ceiling and very little space for insulation batts is anti con (im using the fibre glass backed type not air cell) alone going to provide enough insulating properties?
#2 is it best to place anti con in between the trusses and battens or between the battens and roofing iron? i have seen alot of conflicting info regarding this with sisalation but no info regarding anti con!
#3 my last question is as my frame is steel i am concerned about thermal bridging, would it be over kill or smart to place thermal tape between the trusses and ceiling battens? im located in far north nsw so cold is not really a huge issue.
thank you
