I wanna see your house finished Re: Building with Simonds Experience so far 45Jul 03, 2015 7:21 pm alcatraz The teds Yes its the kew facade, the wooden slats above the windows and the garage are going in now. When they finish the corner of the windows with a large wooden insert it should take shape and i will post a pic when that happens. We so nearly went for the sierra but they pitch of the roof wasn't allowed on the development. Alcatraz, I desperately want your facade, with the timber trims and windows but I'm having a hard time getting simonds to know what I'm talking about. How did you give them this idea? Those designs were common up until about 18 months ago when they bought out the 'New Living' facades. You can still get Kew and St Ives (St Ives is a beautiful façade IMHO). Just ask them. Take the photo of Alcatraz's facade with you or email your Sales Consultant the link. I'm sure they'll help if they understand. What house are you looking at building? We're building the Avalon and we LOVE how it's progressing. VERY, very happy with everybody and everything so far. Re: Building with Simonds Experience so far 47Jul 04, 2015 8:23 pm Hey TC, we're building a palisade. I sent them the photos and they said I can't have a 'living' facade on a new living home, which is weird because we've been told we could have either all along. They said we can add timber windows to our masterton facade, but couldn't give me a price. Weird! Actually deluxes built a Sierra (very similar) here in Adelaide which she documented on this forum. She had timber windows, you could try sending her a PM to ask her what it cost. She was incredibly helpful when she was sharing through her build. You can see a pic of her windows on page 63, 69 and last page. Her thread is here: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66299&hilit=deluxes+simonds Palisade is beautiful. That cathedral ceiling is quite special. I just checked out your thread and like how you modified it. Good luck with those windows. Re: Building with Simonds Experience so far 49Jul 05, 2015 7:03 am Thank you! We have colours on Wednesday so I'm going to try and hit them up again there! I think they just don't want to mess with our drawings but I'm about to remove render, air-con and flooring to have them done externally so they will just have to deal!
