I love colour framed in white!!! Re: Riksters place - Kid's play area 192Jun 26, 2008 8:48 am All the design has been by my wife. Now I can see why we needed the 100mm architraves & 150mm skirting boards. I'm a bloke & could not picture it all in my head, but now I can see the amazing effect.
So far, I think the entrance is my favorite. Any chance of a before and after shot of the door frame they...ahem...trimmed and what it looks like now. Jet79 I love colour framed in white!!! It's a simple technique (in hindsight) but it's like photos with a white border....a good photo is made better with a white border because it defines the photo and isolates it from it surroundings. mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Riksters place - Kid's play area 194Jun 26, 2008 1:41 pm What bad news about the detention tank and rock. There is never anything nice about having to spend more money on a council requirement.
Again, your wife has made wonderful choices with colours. My fav's are the study, your DD's room and also the entrance. Re: Riksters place - Kid's play area 195Jun 26, 2008 3:44 pm Hi Rikster,
your wife is amazing! Is she an interior designer by profession? Love the bold colours. I have to admit, I am a latte/cream kind of person but the bold colours make your house look like a scene from Home Beautiful. Absolutely stunning! Re: Riksters place - Kid's play area 197Jun 26, 2008 8:33 pm It's always great to read your comments - please keep them coming. My wife isn't an interior designer (ID), just someone who knows what she likes. She thinks she would be a terrible ID, because it all comes down to personal taste. It's such a subjective thing. Maybe all these wonderful comments will give her the confidence to try. thats so sweet I just love all the white, I do love white to bits! I think the laundry is officially my favorite colour.
