Are we all aware how Corimbia gotten it's name? haha yes, I'm aware it's a genus of native trees - Corymbia. We're aiming to use only plants native to the area in our garden - but we're still a long way from having a garden! Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 23Jan 21, 2013 11:13 am See twiggens I heard of a different story to how it was named. A little girl at landsdale primary won a competetion she wrote a story about this magic land called corimbia and thus why it's called that Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 24Jan 21, 2013 11:35 am Hi Guys, So glad I found this forum. My partner and I have purchased Lot 765 Sissinghurst and are due to settle Feb/March, its a 504sq/m block, 18m frontage/28m long - North/South Facing. We are building with Redink and so far they have been great, many many changes to their original design etc and now we are waiting for surveys and working drawings etc (this seems to take a fair while) Looks like we will have some nice people in the area which is great. As others have said we are always up snooping around most weekends haha Redink Homes Modified Version of the Lifestyle 300 Building in Corimbia, Landsdale Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 26Jan 21, 2013 1:18 pm Hi Wildcats, Yes, we will be - nice to meet a neighbour at last The house design is based on Redinks Lifestyle 300 but with alot of changes to make it how we wanted it. Have listed some of the changes below;- - Bed 5 converted into a Workshop with highlight window and fluro (backs onto garage) - Garage 1m wider - Ensuite amended to have double square vanity, double shower, removed bath & bigger WIR - Second bathroom made bigger and redesigned/reconfigured with double size shower, bigger bench top and square basin - Windows on Master Bedroom changed from standard to 3 Awning windows - Family, Kitchen and Dining & Alfresco widened - 31c ceilings to Family, kitchen and dining - Made Walk in Pantry alot bigger - Added door to passage way to spare rooms - Added double doors to theatre - Added sliding glass doors to linen cupboards - Made laundry bigger and added a bench top - Added Essa Stone to all bench tops except laundry - Red glass splash back to kitchen - Breakfast bench overhang - Upgraded to a 1200mm front door I think thats about it hahaha - its been exciting but very time consuming too especially being our first build and not knowing what to expect or how long everything takes. What builder are you using and what house are you going to build? You will have a lovely view of the park? Looking forward to meeting alot more of our neighbours along the way. Redink Homes Modified Version of the Lifestyle 300 Building in Corimbia, Landsdale Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 27Jan 21, 2013 1:28 pm I have been a little quiet haven't I... Hello everyone! As Nicci said previously, I am building with New Generation Homes on Ephrussi (pronounced ef-rus-si), one street in (north) of Queensway. I am having a bit of problem with the gradient on the front of the block as Stockland seemed to have made a mistake and now my house cannot be built on it. The builders are liasing with Stockland at the moment in order to make the changes neccessary (determining the level required to be able to build the house) and will get back to me end of this week. It has been a frustrating experience thus far with the delays (we were to have gone through our prestart process by now), but we'll persevere and I'm hopeful it will be sorted out soon. We just don't like how our sales rep changes his stories re prices since our first meeting and he's very very slow just thought we should not make a decision after only spoken with two builders. jaceb How did you go with builder shopping today janicec? Glad we went shopping again, spoke with Ventura and hopefully get more info from Content today. They are more competitive and very prompt, both offer on par/better inclusions. Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 30Jan 21, 2013 4:24 pm Greeny Hi Wildcats, What builder are you using and what house are you going to build? You will have a lovely view of the park? Looking forward to meeting alot more of our neighbours along the way. We are still deciding what to build, but likely to go through Aveling Homes. We know some other people who have built with them and they recommend them. We have our first meeting with the rep tomorrow to go through some of the designs we like and to see what changes we can make along with seeing what promotions they have at the moment Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 31Jan 21, 2013 4:39 pm Wildcats Greeny Hi Wildcats, What builder are you using and what house are you going to build? Always good to see what promotions all the different builders have too, we helped our friends out who are building in Whiteman Edge and all I would say is just try to get as much value for money as possible, which is pretty much a given with everyone. Good luck with it, I am sure you end up with an amazing home once you decide. Hey Greeny, a neighbourhood BBQ is a great idea, every time I drive past my block I think to myself that I should have a bbq in the park on Alhambra, it's all been made so nicely! My fiance and I are in Stage 6 (I think) building on Basildon Street so we're a fair distance from you in comparison to the others, but still walking distance! Jaymak - I hope it all gets fixed for you. AC27 See twiggens I heard of a different story to how it was named. A little girl at landsdale primary won a competetion she wrote a story about this magic land called corimbia and thus why it's called that Hmm interesting, hadn't heard that, I'd just assumed it was because of the trees Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 37Jan 21, 2013 11:01 pm Hey twiggens, The parks in Corimbia are quite lovely and my partner and I are really looking forward to having alot of BBQs in them once we move in. Nothing in Corimbia is that far away so I am sure we could work something out I will look up exactly where you are in relation to our street. I just checked out your build thread..... Niiiiiceeee Oh on second thoughts maybe all of us should have a pre-build neighbourhood BBQ meet and greet at some stage in the BBQ area at the park near the sales office - thoughts people?? They are more competitive and very prompt, both offer on par/better inclusions. I too was very close to going with Ventura. The rep was very very keen, the deal was good, although I wasn't as happy with the design as I was with Aveling. But then he took a plan to costing, said he would get back to me in 10 days, but I still haven't heard from him 3 months later. Clearly he couldn't match the Aveling price or he just couldn't be bothered. Bit of a shame. Definitely speak to people who have built with them if you can and see how they found Ventura. I've heard a few mixed stories, that's all Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 40Jan 22, 2013 12:28 am janicec Greeny Looks like we will all have to have a new neighbourhood party once we are all in hahaha I hear the new BBQ and park area will be lovely Hi Greeny, I like that idea! Will see how many others on here are interested and if we get a nice small group interested then we will organise a little BBQ meet and greet in the park on a weekend arvo Redink Homes Modified Version of the Lifestyle 300 Building in Corimbia, Landsdale |
