Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 403Nov 09, 2013 9:46 am Yup we are stage 13! About bloody time!! We should hopefully see our slab poured in January Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 404Nov 09, 2013 9:54 am Our builder said we didn't need soak wells... So that's interesting! Hmmm...might need to look into that lol. Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 405Nov 14, 2013 7:31 pm Yeah hopefully we can get a slab on January as well. We just went with our builders to install our concrete soakwells, didn't want the hassle of dealing with that ourselves. Too much else to think about BUILDER SUMMIT HOMES | DESIGN THE MONACO 248 » Our Build Thread Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 406Nov 27, 2013 4:21 pm Hi All Just wondering if anyone commutes from Corimbia to the city for work? What is the best way? Straight down Alexander Dr on the bus/car or driving to either Greenwood or Whitfords train station? I have put a deposit down on a block that due to be titled in March 2014 so am reading all the threads about the builds going on in Corimbia. Thanks Vinski Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 407Nov 28, 2013 12:21 am Hi Vinski At the moment there isn't a bus service running through Corimbia although there are future plans I'm not holding my breath At the moment you can walk to the nearest bus stops and access three buses 376 to Mirrabooka (runs through Landsdale) 450 to Warwick station (access via Kingsway rd only and 352 to Whitfords... (Runs through Landsdale) Driving there are lots of options going into the city I would go Kingsway/Hepburn rd and then freeway but you can also go Mirrabooka rd or Alexander drive all much of a muchness... Have you signed with a builder yet? Exciting times I don't work in the city, but if I did I would be driving to Greenwood station and catching the train from there, driving all the way down Alexander can be painful. I guess it depends what time you start work! If you can beat the traffic, Alexander may be ok. I work at the airport and yesterday I left our block(almost house, yay!) at 7:40ish and got to work at 8:10. The slowest part was trying to get on to Alexander from Kingsway as there were 4 cars in front of me So in the end it wasn't too bad. Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 409Nov 28, 2013 9:28 am Thanks for the responses Butterbing and Twiggens, im not a fan of buses so ill either be driving to greenwood train station or all the way into the city. Havent decided on a builder as yet, have narrowed it down to either New Generation, Dale Alcock, Celebrations and potentially HomeGroup WA. Going to start organising meetings with each sales rep to see what our options. Cheers Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 410Nov 28, 2013 10:07 am congrats vinski.. Im going to be going to greenwood station but I get to station at 7:30 and still have parking.. any later I would either go warwick or whitfords.. my friend who lives in landsdale goes to warwick and seems to think its the best and fastest but I yet to work out which wins Did anyone go to the free event at the park last weekend? we got there at like 1:30 and missed most of it but my nephews had fun.. Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 411Nov 28, 2013 11:49 am Luckily both my wife and I are early starters, she starts at 7.15 in East Perth and im in Central Park so plan would be to leave around 6.30am, hopefully get to the train station around 6.45am then into the city. We did do a trial drive to and from Corimbia to Greenwood train station but that was during the weekend with moderate traffic. Not sure what traffic would be like at 6.30am on a weekday. Thanks for the replies. Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 412Nov 28, 2013 6:29 pm Welcome Vinski! I'll be commuting by bus to one of the near by train stations. I work in East Perth as well so gonna see how well that works out when the time comes. Good luck choosing a builder, keep us posted! Nicci was that event about the free advice on interior colour inspiration event? Or was there something else in as well? Hubby got the email and didn't forward it to me Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 415Nov 29, 2013 10:37 am No pixel but that one looked fun.. its was the new park opening.. face painters, bouncing castle, cooking stations etc.. there was free coffees but I was hoping the mr whippy was free.. sadly not aha Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 416Nov 29, 2013 12:21 pm Vinski: I'm in Pearsall not corimbia but if you are getting the train the reason people go to Warwick or whitfords over greenwood is because in the afternoons every second train doesn't stop at greenwood, so just makes it less tedious to get home. The advantage of going that early as well is you'll get parking and a seat But keep in mind the train fare from whitfords is more then Warwick (3 zones to the city from whitfords 2 for Warwick). Re: Stockland Corimbia, Landsdale 417Nov 29, 2013 1:37 pm Thanks for that fmac...definitely will need to take that into account once we are commuting. Its probably just going to be a trial of all the different routes/stations to commute and see which one suits us best.
