Looks really good. Unfortunately we've discovered our bench is a few mm shorter than on the plans and we now have to take the top off the dishwasher to fit but at least it fits. Re: Fairhaven Homes - Handover done, driveway and floor star 446Feb 19, 2014 5:40 pm Looks fabulous. Love your floor colour. Re: Fairhaven Homes - Handover done, driveway and floor star 447Feb 19, 2014 8:08 pm Thanks Lucinda! stayxtrue its an engineered floating floor, so similar to floating just with the ability to be sanded and resealed. Re: Fairhaven Homes - Handover done, driveway and floor star 449Feb 19, 2014 8:36 pm Love the flooring! Re: Fairhaven Homes - Handover done, driveway and floor star 450Feb 20, 2014 7:23 am Thanks guys its come up really well. Its actually really soft underfoot rather than being hard like regular timber so its great to walk on. Should be finished friday including trim. Thank god then I can have a fridge and dishwasher inside! Driveway also going in today after a delay due to yesterdays rain. Cant wait to be able to park in the garage! What is the driveway material? Re: Fairhaven Homes - Handover done, driveway and floor star 453Feb 20, 2014 5:52 pm Exposed agg with grey concrete, black and white 5 to 7mm stone I think... Not sure we just drove past one and told the guy thats what we wanted. I'm not 100% my wife will love it as much as I do though as its fairly heavy on the black, hopefully an acid wash and sealer will give it that bit of shine. Re: Fairhaven Homes - Handover done, driveway and floor star 454Feb 20, 2014 6:05 pm Looks great! Your backyard looks massive by the way, very jealous. Re: Fairhaven Homes - Handover done, driveway and floor star 455Feb 20, 2014 7:41 pm Thanks Metroid. Do you know how it compared with other surfaces price wise? Re: Fairhaven Homes - Handover done, driveway and floor star 456Feb 20, 2014 8:15 pm We've had a friend of my dads doing it. Not sure what normally it would be, but its $5,500 for the agg section and $500ish for a second crossover (creating side by side/double crossover). He quoted $4,200 for same area in colour instead of agg. Thanks Aussie! Its about 575m2 out back (including side where deck will go behind garage. Really stoked with the size for what we paid! Re: Fairhaven Homes - Handover done, driveway and floor star 458Feb 21, 2014 8:37 am Thanks upsizetime! Second part of the crossover meant to be poured today but it might be too wet here... concreter coming back sunday to acid wash and seal the driveway then should be right next Wednesday. Flooring guy finishing today cannot wait to be able to clean the house properly again! Re: Fairhaven Homes - Handover done, driveway and floor star 459Feb 21, 2014 5:39 pm Looks great!!! I might hit you up for a contact to do the crossover when I get to that. Have built all of the rest into the build at $$$$$$ builders prices. LOL. S Re: Fairhaven Homes - Handover done, driveway and floor star 460Feb 21, 2014 6:50 pm I love the drive way! We are also looking at agrigated stone. Lucky ours is smaller!
