Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 14, 2013 9:26 pm Hi all, Has anyone recently or is currently going through colour selections with Statesman homes and can give me a rough estimate on the upgrades. It makes it really hard to budget the colour selections that you really want as you have no idea how much the upgrade is. The main upgrades I'm after is Bricks - bronze, silver, gold Having a 3rd coat of paint done Upgrade to essa stone bench top Glass splashbacks Bronze to gold toilet Bronze to gold laundry sinks Any other advice you can give, ie where should I go to look at paint colours, did you use their carpets or organise your own. Was the airconditioning a responible price. Can they offer quotes for ducted vacuuming? I am building the Evandale so my home is not over big, just something small to start with Any advice appreciated Thanks so much Re: Statesman Homes Colour Selection costs 3Apr 01, 2013 4:43 pm Hi there thought I would just post to see if your both still on here we are also building with statesman and building in mt barker Siteworks 8/11 Slabbed 19/11 Our Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65703 Re: Statesman Homes Colour Selection costs 4Apr 01, 2013 4:47 pm hey hey ! im new to this site so still a bit sketchy on this replying stuff ! my partner and i are building down at seaford.. still in early stages just received our stacks of papers to sign and return, in the mean time trying to sort out all these colour selections. how far along are you guys ? have you selected colours yet? I want to do the walls in a light neutral grey and have navy and a bold aqua highlight but not sure if I'm brave enough for that will either do greys or browns nice a neutral furniture, paint etc and use accessories so we can change the colours in the future if we want to Do you know what your doing yet? Only thing I'm struggling with at the moment is the kitchen initially I wanted to do a wood grain cupboards and white stone top but I'm not sure whether that's going to tie in with the rest of the house Siteworks 8/11 Slabbed 19/11 Our Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65703 Re: Statesman Homes Colour Selection costs 10Apr 01, 2013 5:59 pm were doing the hampstead too! weve just changed some of the windows in the family area, were just going to stick with a white paint to start with keep it pretty neutral but then add lots of colour through art works, cushions and other bits and pieces. kicthens the hardest i think we looked at doing the 'cappucino' coloured cupboards with either a flat white benchtop and depending on how much glass splashbacks are and if we can afford it then that will determine whether we have a gloss benchtop or not. my partners sister did the dark wood grain cupboards with a white bench top, and the rest of her house is pretty neutral more the darker browns and the redish wood floors i think it looks great nice and warm and welcoming ! Re: Statesman Homes Colour Selection costs 12Apr 01, 2013 6:49 pm glass splashback is price on arrival. i would say this is due to different sized kitchen sizes and them having to work out for you the size glass you need and the cost depending on the different glass used. b81 i have just emailed you. we got our carpet and tiles done for convenience but it would be cheaper getting them done privately. the air con we got cost 5300-5400 for evap with 7 outlets. to change grout colour from the standard colours (slate grey for floors and white for wall tiles) $180 flat fee once you have changed one colour grout you dont pay anymore to pay if you want different coloured grout again. you get credited back if you take things off, we got $50 back(originally quoted $100) to take off soap dishes and towel rails. Re: Statesman Homes Colour Selection costs 13Apr 02, 2013 7:25 am I think we are going to go for one of the darker chocolate brown bricks and we've added a portico on the front which we're going to render a dark brown too, we also changed the b/room windows to 2 x 900 windows What did you change the windows to? I've actually been thinking about changing them but Im not sure if we should bother or not, we added an extra sliding door on the LH side of the family room too Siteworks 8/11 Slabbed 19/11 Our Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65703 Re: Statesman Homes Colour Selection costs 14Apr 02, 2013 9:59 am Not sure in brick colour yet .. My partners a brick layer and wants to take me down to the austral brick centre to have a look ( he says the other brick type aren't so good) and that the bricks they show at the colour selections centre aren't he up to date ones . Yeh we going the more squared front and will have the front of the house rendered We've kept the sliding door in the family/ dining rooms the same taken away the two windows either side of it and done three 900 windows on the wall of he family room as that looks out to our garden And added another window on the opposite wall ( same side and size as the kitchen window) Re: Statesman Homes Colour Selection costs 15Apr 02, 2013 4:10 pm oh sounds good, we've got quite a bit of yard on the side too that's why we added a sliding door there Only other change we did was to the bathroom so we could add a bigger bath and double shower Hopefully your build starts soon I would love to see updates on it! (we don't settle on our land until later in the year so have a while to wait for our own!)
