Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 13, 2013 6:42 am Hi All I was walking past a PD display home today in Berry Lane Mernda and noticed this really nice feature external tile used on the facade. The house is the London 22 with the Burton Facade I'm not building through PD but was wondering if a PD person could let me know the name of the tile and the manufacturer as I would really like to use it on my facade. We recently submitted our plans to our developer for approval and they were rejected because we were supposed to use two different materials on our facade and we had just used two different colours of render. So now we are on the look out for a tile that will look good with Dulux Exposed Elements and Dulux Royal Beige Half. Our builder uses the Beaumont tiles range. Fuzzy Re: Porter Davis Display - tile on facade 2Jan 14, 2013 1:55 am Porter Davis use National Tiles. They have a display room for clients at National Tiles Port Melbourne. The girls there could tell you the exact tile used if you give them a call. A bit cheeky, but if you love the tile.... Good luck with your build Re: Porter Davis Display - tile on facade 3Jan 14, 2013 10:30 am I also think I spotted the external tiles you're referring to out at Hopetoun Interiors on the weekend. My SC did warn me that the tiles were unusually pricey, so it might help the community of you post back your findings (particularly price). Re: Porter Davis Display - tile on facade 4Jan 14, 2013 10:58 am Hi guys Thanks Mimi23. Contacted National Tiles directly and they advised that the tile is called Antique Stone Pearl. I've ordered a sample at this stage and will advise how much it costs as soon as I get some info. Hope it's not too expensive. It's gotta be cheaper than the $2800 quote we received to have a single pier in sandstone... Building the Oasis 27 in Mernda Re: Porter Davis Display - tile on facade 5Jan 14, 2013 9:26 pm grrr so we cant use anything in the National Tiles range as our builder is contracted to Beaumont Tiles. Looks like I might just have to take the sample to Beaumonts and get them to try match it to something similar in their range... Building the Oasis 27 in Mernda Re: Porter Davis Display - tile on facade 6Jan 17, 2013 11:41 am For anyone interested Antique Stone Pearl costs $59.95 m2. Is currently on sale for just under $40 m2 We ended up going with Beaumont Slate Bianco Textured which was about $65m2 with labour. Much happier with this tile as it complements the Dulux Exposed Elements and Royal Beige Half more than the Antique Stone Pearl did. The latter seemed to have a bit of a green tinge to it.
