Hello Friends,
I take it that most, if not all of us are building Brick Veneer Homes. Given the costs envolved I would like to know what can be the expected life of such a home. Also would full brick construction homes last longer ?

I would think that afull brick house would age less quickly and survive longer. Old stone and solid brick houses. On floorboard bases too, not concrete. Our own house was built in 1959 (double brick, except extension done in 2000 is brick venneer) and stilll going strong! Our new house will be brick venneer because that's all that gets built now, almost impossible in SA to get double brick house now, certainly not a standard home by a standard builder. Brass fly wire, you will need to cut it, shape it and jam it into brick slots 1 5494 2 6865 can’t tell from the photo, a tie down rod will be 12mm, is it a steel beam? he should be able to work it out 1 3375 |
