Not as bad as stage 51 but been waiting since June/July Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 242Nov 11, 2013 10:48 am Yes that's very true, as soon as your land registers, you start paying that mortgage back for the land! Stage 33 is looking great and all ready to go...so I'm sure it's not that much longer for you Building a Drysdale 27 with Eden Brae! Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 245Nov 15, 2013 5:33 am Morning. So yesterday I went to sign away for the contract of the land, and in the contract it states that before you can build a fire and a mines certificate will have to be approved. Not sure why they consider spring farm as a fire prone area, well it used to be but dont think it should be considered now as its being developed. Also spring farm used to be a sand mine, so it was mentioned that a certificate will have to be given off the council to ensure the land can be built on. The solicitor said this is pretty standard and shouldnt have any issues. Did anyone else experience these during your land purchase or build? Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 246Nov 15, 2013 12:07 pm Yeh we needed the mine report and everything is all good. We are still waiting for stage 33 to register though. From what ive read on here the fire thing isnt an issue Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 247Nov 27, 2013 3:35 pm Hello 51ers!!! How is everything going?? Anyone close to a PCI date yet??? Building a Drysdale 27 with Eden Brae! Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 248Dec 11, 2013 12:17 pm No PCI as yet for us. We have been gyprocked and corniced, we should be waterpoofed this week and be at lock up next week. Lisam you are so close, i saw your garage door yesterday, your driveway is getting poured soon isn't it? Riverside how is your build going? What is scheduled for you now? Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 249Dec 16, 2013 12:25 pm That's great to hear firsttime...you guys are flying through your build....ours has been a bit slow..our roof was finally up on Friday! Suppose to be at lock up by the end of the week....will see how we go... I think I saw you had tiles in already?!?!?!?! Building a Drysdale 27 with Eden Brae! Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 250Dec 19, 2013 12:16 pm Yeah our build has gone so quickly! we are at full lock up and our Bathroom tiling and laundry tiling is complete. All internal doors are in, kitchen and bathrooms are in and stone top in kitchen and the sink. It's come together so amazingly, couldn't be happier. Yeah your roof did take a while. More so the neighbours have taken even longer (2 storey guys). They haven't even finished bricks. Crazy slow. How are you guys going? How is your new SS? Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 251Dec 19, 2013 12:31 pm Geez! You guys should be in sometime in Feb then?!! We have been given as estimated date of end of March....so you must be at least end of Feb!! New SS is good...great communicator...we had a few issues picked up from our independent inspector which has been fixed now...just a few issues here and there but as long as they get fixed!!!! Building a Drysdale 27 with Eden Brae! Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 252Dec 19, 2013 2:21 pm Our SS said end of march too, but we have been pretty quick. Who did you use as the independant inspector and how much were they? We are considering getting them for PCI and pre-settlement. We missed the frames one but we had minor things and were picked up on the spot. I think your SS is coming to us for 2 weeks in feb, our SS is going on holidays, devastated, he is so great. a few people on your side are ready to go, we are just ahead of the neighbours who i am yet to meet Are you going past on the weekend? Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 253Dec 19, 2013 2:25 pm Well we were 8 days behind schedule and now we are 1 day ahead so our new SS is def getting us back on track! We went with Howard from HK Ryan...it was $595.00. We are getting them back at PCI as well. Our SS is going on holidays as well - not sure when yet, I think like end of January maybe... We were there last night and took a drive around...I think someone has already moved in the street in front of us facing the new stage!! We were going to try and drive by on Saturday sometime... Lisam and us were the only two to move before Christmas I believe. Just wondering what everyone is going for with fencing? We want the colourbond but are finding it difficult to get someone that supplies it (especially a local). All the pricing we have been give to date has been expensive ($90+ per metre installed). Does anyone know of someone that can do it cheaper than that? Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 255Jan 20, 2014 12:37 pm Hi all, We are stage 42 in Riverside. We recently put a deposit on a house and land package with Eden Brae but our land wont be registered until November this year (if all goes to plan that is!) We have our tender appointment tomorrow morning, looking forward to it BUILDING OUR FIRST HOME :x] Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 257Jan 21, 2014 9:25 pm Yeah it will. We know that feeling all too well. Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 259Jan 22, 2014 9:39 am Congrats on signing the tender ST-Hardy!!! What house are you building? Yep, HOPEFULLY your land isn't delayed too much, but it's always best to expect a delayed registration.... Building a Drysdale 27 with Eden Brae! So it looks like we finally have some movement on site! Definitely later than expected, but I'll take any progress at this point.
