Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 230Oct 30, 2013 4:31 pm Yay we have frames Lisam how's your build going so far? When I was with my SS last week your gyprocking was done or getting done can't remember I love the work done on your bricks. I can't stop staring at them. Riverside how did you go with the stacker door thing? Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 231Nov 06, 2013 8:30 am Hey guys, Was just wondering how everyone went about solicitors and conveyancers. Did you need one for the land side of things and another for the house build? Everyone I spoke to advised you only need a Solicitor or conveyancer for the land. Would this be correct? Cheers. Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 232Nov 06, 2013 8:38 am Hi Mat87 - yeah that's right. Your conveyancer looks after the land component only. BUT It's entirely up to you if you wanted to get a solicitor for both contracts. Where abouts are you building? Are you in stage 51 at Riverside? Building a Drysdale 27 with Eden Brae! Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 233Nov 06, 2013 8:50 am We have put a deposit down in stage 42 on the other side of the lake. Land registration isnt till 4th quater next year. Works out good for us as we can save more and borrow less. I was only saying the other day that no one can give definate answers and you are left doing all the chasing, after reading this forum it sounds like I'm not the only one and I'm at the very beginning haha. But after looking at all the new estates building up spring farm riverside definately looks the most promising. Should be a nice place to live in a few years once everything is complete. Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 234Nov 06, 2013 4:00 pm You are absolutely not the only one with experiences like that!! haha I hope that your land is not delayed...Stage 51 was very very very late - more than a year - we were not one of the original buyers - we bought our land in June 2012 thinking registration was going to be December 2012, but it didn't happen until July 2013! But hopefully, they get better with each release!! Do you know who you are building with yet? Building a Drysdale 27 with Eden Brae! Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 235Nov 11, 2013 7:09 am It's weird how there are so many new estates going up all over the place but still no one seems to know what's going on, It cant be that hard. We will be building with Lily homes, The house is the Mariah 23, inbetween the 22 and 25. we went with a house and land package as it was more in our price range. I heard there arent many 2 stories being built in spring farm riverside, should make the area feel more open. Does anyone know how far the minimum distance is the house can be off the side fences? I heard 1.2m, but than other estates can be 0.9m. Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 236Nov 11, 2013 10:05 am Hey Mat...the minimum distance on either side for our estate is 0.9m...yeah so far there is only 3 double storey homes in the entire estate...I would think that we will see quite a few more though closer to the lake... Thanks heaps guys Re: Building in Spring Farm Riverside - Stage 51 238Nov 11, 2013 10:31 am Hey Immy - nice to see another Riversider on here! Ours took about 4 weeks I think from the time it actually went into council until we registered...they told us a few times they were about to go to council and I think on the 3rd time it was true!!
