It's so exciting getting the plans. It makes it feel so real. It has been 1 year since we chose our house to now and they are currently painting. It feels like forever but when the time finally arrives somehow it feels like it flew by. Focus on little things rather than that big long wait, like birthdays or holidays or special events that you're looking forward to. I find that helps and before you know it you'll be watching your house grow! And in 6 months times you'll have some great weather for building a house in! Re: Mt Barker Build - MASTER PLANS :) 323May 22, 2013 10:50 am It's just good to finally have something done!!! haha and now that we actually have to start making the decisions it does really feel like we are actually building a house! haha It will probably be about a year since we chose when we will be at the same stage as you 6 months isn't a big deal I have a wedding to plan to keep myself busy anyway! plus can't complain about extra savings for the build Thanks Ally Siteworks 8/11 Slabbed 19/11 Our Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65703 Re: Mt Barker Build - MASTER PLANS :) 324May 22, 2013 10:53 am Davelle It's just good to finally have something done!!! haha and now that we actually have to start making the decisions it does really feel like we are actually building a house! haha It will probably be about a year since we chose when we will be at the same stage as you 6 months isn't a big deal I have a wedding to plan to keep myself busy anyway! plus can't complain about extra savings for the build Thanks Ally Wedding planning will keep you VERY busy!!! When we go there we just jump across the "creek" with no water and we're at our block! Not sure how much they pay I know bluestone rentals aren't that "cheap" but it's a nice house number 8! Maybe it's meant to be! lol Siteworks 8/11 Slabbed 19/11 Our Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65703 Re: Mt Barker Build - MASTER PLANS :) pg. 16 333May 22, 2013 6:29 pm Fabulous news, master plans are super. Make sure to check everything. Re: Mt Barker Build - MASTER PLANS :) pg. 16 334May 22, 2013 7:17 pm Thanks Lucinda, we had prelim plans done too so everything was fine apart from the wrong windows on the front Siteworks 8/11 Slabbed 19/11 Our Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65703 Re: Mt Barker Build - MASTER PLANS :) pg. 16 335May 23, 2013 8:05 pm Your plans look great davelle! I love houses with portico's! I remember when we got our plans it was pretty exciting I studied them for hours! We are in the same boat as you, living out of two rooms with no space it will be great to have our own space again. Hope all goes well with your selections I think that was my favourite part of the whole process. Re: Mt Barker Build - MASTER PLANS :) pg. 16 336May 23, 2013 8:13 pm Yeah we added the portico it was one of the first things we did haha We were super excited when we got our prelims these we just checked signed and sent off because we'd pretty much seen it all before lol was great to see the front elevation though I hate the back but I can't wait to get to handover and build on the entertaining area!! Thanks Davcar looking forward to it but then I'll have nothing to organise!!! Exciting times Plans look great too! We ended up doing most things through the builder (except all our flooring) just so we knew we would have a mostly finished house when we move in! Now you can start to look forward to selections! Re: Mt Barker Build - MASTER PLANS :) 338May 25, 2013 12:53 am Davelle deluxes Davelle Aaaargh. Count me in when Dave hooks up all that sweet Sony equipment lol Re: Mt Barker Build - MASTER PLANS :) pg. 16 339May 25, 2013 5:00 pm Today we went down and put our deposit on all our flooring! Only went to "look" but when we saw the savings we could get on some end of roll etc and we loved it we haggled them down and chucked our deposit on it lol whoops First choice we've actually made on the house but we are hoping we can pay off all the flooring before the build even starts this way one less thing to finance! We've chosen this "classic oiled oak" for the hallway, family area etc Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And this carpet in the bedroom and theatre looks a bit darker in these pics then it actually is!
