Tarkett soft oak brown - we have requested the larger planks. They take 3 months to come in but with building we have plenty time so haven't finialised anything just yet Re: Leanne's Build #2 - Baldivis 25Jan 07, 2013 12:19 pm ahhh thanks Leanne i've not seen them in the shops (where did you buy) but I have heard of the brand...Did you have to order from overseas hence the long wait? I will have to check them out before making final decision (which I thought we had yesterday lol) The flooring choice bizzo is doing my head in...its worse than prestart! More confused than ever. Being a Libra maybe this forum wasn't such a great idea to join Re: Leanne's Build #2 - Baldivis 27Jan 07, 2013 1:54 pm Hi Leanne, what an opportunity to build again so soon with all those great ideas that you didn't/couldn't do in the first house and can now be accommodated!! Love the way you have altered the plan - I don't think you've missed much.... good luck with the build and I hope it's as smooth as the first one ... For info on our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43093 Built the McLaren by Dechellis - slab down 22 Feb - handover 30 Aug 2011 - and gardens finished 9 Dec 2012!! Being a Libra maybe this forum wasn't such a great idea to join I so relate (I am also Libran) I have reduced my input here dramatically as I was getting the green eye monster as well as all the indecision. I've got it again just looking at Leanne's Plan!! Re: Leanne's Build #2 - Baldivis 29Jan 07, 2013 2:50 pm donna61 Serialbuilder Yes I'm with Oneness on that one. More confused than ever. I've got it again just looking at Leanne's Plan!! Yeah absolutely, I'm also already having trouble keeping up with all my 'subscribes' and keeping that 'monster' at bay and ive only been a member for a few days haha. Us Libras can be slightly obsessive - in a nice way Re: Leanne's Build #2 - Baldivis 30Jan 07, 2013 3:46 pm oneness - Carpet Court and yeah once we put down deposit they will order them from overseas donna - green eyed monster or indecision? hehe Ive been getting quotes for wardrobe fit outs for WIR. Pricey but not as extreme as I was thinking. I did want a grey colour but its an extra $1000 for colour and was told colour looks awesome with no clothes but white looks good always. Gotta decide if we gonna do wardrobe fit out or not before prestart so we can remove the shelf/rail. Re: Leanne's Build #2 - Baldivis 31Jan 07, 2013 3:57 pm I have my moments of the green eyed monster, but that's not hard when our house is so small! I have to keep reminding myself that it will mean no more rent inspections and who knows maybe we will one day be in a position to build something bigger and fancier. The one thing I do remind myself of is There isnt a huge house to keep clean! I have enough trouble with our current 2x1 Re: Leanne's Build #2 - Baldivis 32Jan 07, 2013 5:59 pm fmac - it is the best decision you will ever make...you will have your foot on the ladder and the only way is onwards and upwards... Nothing better than your own home, large or small. You have to start somewhere and your plan is great fmac. Renting sucks! You have so much to look forward to and whatever you do for and to your home, it's all for YOU and not your landlords pocket. Re: Leanne's Build #2 - Baldivis 34Jan 07, 2013 6:16 pm oneness fmac - it is the best decision you will ever make...you will have your foot on the ladder and the only way is onwards and upwards... Good luck to you ^^+1 for this. This is our first build but second house and though that first one wasn't ideal it got us to where we are now. It's not about size (although yes less cleaning is great!) it's about comfort and investment. LeanneR Gotta decide if we gonna do wardrobe fit out or not before prestart so we can remove the shelf/rail. Can you keep shelf and rail for now and then do wardrobe fit out down the track? I definitely want our WIR fitted out but the kids ones I am thinking we could perhaps do later down the track. Or is that just a waste if money? $1000 seems expensive just for colour but then in the scheme of things it's not that much. Re: Leanne's Build #2 - Baldivis 35Jan 07, 2013 6:51 pm We were quoted $3900 for whole house robes fitted out. They are the same people that Dale Alcock use and through someone on here we were given details. The minor bedrooms are $650 each which includes 4 drawers but for $450 you don't get any drawers just the fully adjustable hanging system. Master bedroom has 8 drawers, shelves and adjustable rail system. That's in white - we didnt ask about colours but I think white looks awesome anyways. Interestingly, when we initially inquired about it at prestart, they wanted to charge us $2700 for the master bedroom alone and that included $500 credit for existing shelf and rail. Ripofffffff!! We can now get rid of our eldests tall boy which takes up so much space in the room. And our youngest is just about to go into big kid bed and instead of buying a bed package with tall boy like we did first time that money is spent on the robe. Building the Riva by Dale Alcock Homes. I think your last build we just ahead of ours, can't believe you are doing it again already! my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Leanne's Build #2 - Baldivis 37Jan 07, 2013 9:45 pm The kids have tall boys so wont be changing their wardrobes as its basically same set up as this house (sliding wardrobe etc) and we are happy with that.So will just be the master. I got a quote for $2100 for the below design... is that a good price? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Includes a mirror door that you see when you first walk into wardrobe so will be my full length mirror (something I haven't had in years) I wont pay $1000 for colour as I can think of other things id rather spend that money on and I also do like white. Re: Leanne's Build #2 - Baldivis 38Jan 07, 2013 10:07 pm That sounds reasonable. From the picture I am assuming its from the same place as us and others on here From going into the showroom and chatting to them it'll be the draws and the door that add to the cost. I know to get draws added to our was going to add $5-600. We have a big his and hers chest of draws that we'll have in the bedroom so decided not to include them. Re: Leanne's Build #2 - Baldivis 39Jan 07, 2013 10:11 pm We had his/hers drawers in our bedroom too. But this is design he came up with. Quote says $70 per additional drawer so based on that I guess I could save $560 if I removed them. Actually now looking at it like that our big double tallboy didn't even cost that much! haha Re: Leanne's Build #2 - Baldivis 40Jan 07, 2013 10:17 pm Yeah the draws were going to add more then 50% to our original quote without them. Didn't see the need for them. And they said they will make them the right width so if we change our mind we can add them later, they will make them up for us.
