I hope they can fast track your plans and they come back right the first time Re: Leanne's Baldivis Build #2 - Council Approved! 422Apr 17, 2013 6:32 pm Oh gosh me too! Please please don't have mistakes!! PLEASE!! haha Re: Leanne's Baldivis Build #2 - Council Approved! 423Apr 17, 2013 6:34 pm I'll keep my fingers crossed Re: Leanne's Baldivis Build #2 - Council Approved! 426Apr 18, 2013 7:31 am I'd like to say end of May. But this is based in my plans being right first time around I was told 2 months from prestart to slab which is Mid May but due to prestart girl taking a month to get my correct addenda to me that's not achievable now I feel like end of May is forever away but I'm sure it will go quick enough. Hopefully Re: Leanne's Baldivis Build #2 - Council Approved! 427Apr 18, 2013 7:34 am here is hoping or mid may for you all the best Re: Leanne's Baldivis Build #2 - Council Approved! 428Apr 18, 2013 6:29 pm Hi Leanne, I was looking at the video online again of the Le Mans last night and something stood out to me - you can see through the front door, straight into the living and dining areas.. I know you've changed your front door into a single one, is it solid or glazed? I love the glazed ones (horizontal panels) but it concerns me it would be really obvious if you were home or not in the evenings and no dashing in a towel to the laundry for clean knickers! It has glazing but we will tint it after handover. We aren't on a main street and you'd only be able to see in at night if portico light isn't on. In that case id prob be in theatre or study anyways haha You could go transulant (the white-ish film) or obscure glass if privacy is an issue for you though Re: Leanne's Baldivis Build #2 - Council Approved! 430Apr 18, 2013 8:01 pm Oh I should add we don't have neighbours across the road otherwise we would prob not have gone clear glass (+ tint) as they could just look into house all the time haha Re: Leanne's Baldivis Build #2 - Council Approved! 431Apr 18, 2013 8:59 pm Now begs the question, what are you doing that would peek their interest to look, all the time.... Re: Leanne's Baldivis Build #2 - Council Approved! 432Apr 19, 2013 9:57 am Well Bradster..... If we get the block we want and go with this house, we'd be over the road from bushland so wouldn't have across the road neighbours either but DH and I were discussing it last night and concluded that as we want a steel mesh security door anyway, we'd go with a solid front door as he reckons the glazed doors look funny with a screen over them. I like the glazed doors so you can see whose on the other side before you open it but with the security door that isnt as much of an issue. And we want to fence off the front yard with a pool style fence that we can lock the gate on! We have one currently, mostly for the kids - but my neighbours tell me it was very funny watching some religious callers try to work out why they couldn't open the gate, and I missed a politician door knocking yesterday - how sad! I don't like look over screens over doors with glazing. Kind defeats the look of it really Re: Leanne's Baldivis Build #2 - Council Approved! 434Apr 19, 2013 1:48 pm You can get clearvue mesh doors though Re: Leanne's Baldivis Build #2 - Council Approved! 435Apr 19, 2013 3:30 pm Still has frame etc though. Just not a look impersonally like. All good for anyone else My left neighbour has a roof frame! They've taken over others who had slab before them. Zooming along! Re: Leanne's Baldivis Build #2 - Council Approved! 436Apr 19, 2013 3:43 pm Hi Leanne! If you anticipate slab by end of May, do you think you'll be able to move in before December?! Just curious as my build is not much ahead of yours. Anticipate slab by start of May. Our builder says takes approx 22 weeks.
We are doing floors, blinds, paint, air con, solar, down lights, glass splashback, liquid limestone in alfresco all after handover. Re: Leanne's Baldivis Build #2 - Council Approved! 439Apr 19, 2013 4:37 pm We were told we would be in before Christmas, and the slab is likely to go down in May sometime, but I think we will be in by November (fingers crossed anyway!) Re: Leanne's Baldivis Build #2 - Council Approved! 440Apr 19, 2013 6:15 pm You got slab 25th October?? That's 25 weeks - including the Xmas break Tukann has just past 18 weeks and almost finished. So I still hold hope If I get slab end May there's 29 weeks until Christmas break so I'd say we should def have keys by then *touch wood* CDC Housing Code 3 When to apply Floor Area external face of wall vs Gross Floor Area internal face of wall.
