Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Also day 7 after bricks finished and still no bill for progress payment or any roof timbers Re: Building with Ideal Homes In Iluka 64Feb 17, 2013 9:46 am Hi Tanial.. the build is going ok.. their workmanship is great but their admin side is terrible and organisation wise they take forever.. When we originally signed up we were told it would be 11 months for full completion and now we are being told itll be more like 15 months, given that it only took three weeks for council approval thats too long.. my biggest issue was the fact that after council approval was granted it took them over 9 weeks to put the slab down, and that was only because I got onto them.. if I hadnt been hassling them then im sure it would have been longer.. in terms of their inclusions they are ok, but if you are a fan of the high gloss cupboards in the kitchen then I wouldnt sign with them because they dont let you have them under any circumstance and they didnt tell me that until after signing on.. what design did you go with? Re: Building with Ideal Homes In Iluka 65Feb 17, 2013 9:52 pm On the prelim contact I got the sales guy to write that the glossy cupboards and feature tiles in kitchen and bathroom were to be included as per the display ... We have had our own design made up as we have special requirements for our business. Contract being signed tomorrow and will definitely ensure this is in there then. Thanks for the heads up. Re: Building with Ideal Homes In Iluka 66Feb 17, 2013 10:34 pm Cool so what display has gloss cupboards?. Because I know their baldivis and alkimos one has sheen cupboards? Re: Building with Ideal Homes In Iluka 67Feb 17, 2013 11:26 pm Oh yes I think sheen...the one in harrisdale...they seem super glossy to me ... Gloss or sheen doesn't really matter to me was happy with what was on the display home...this is the display home we saw by the way http://www.idealhomes.com.au/brochure/a ... page.pdf... Any other advice Re: Building with Ideal Homes In Iluka 68Feb 17, 2013 11:28 pm That link might not work...try this one http://www.idealhomes.com.au/home-desig ... vanti.php.. We are not building this house though Re: Building with Ideal Homes In Iluka 69Feb 17, 2013 11:41 pm Cool yep I think they are sheen which they allowed us to get.. That's exciting.. Some advice would be do your research before pre-start on any upgrades you want and tell your pre-start consultant before hand so they can have prices on the day.. Also worth while going through all your electrical stuff beforehand thoroughly so you don't have to choose all your power points and stuff in a hurry Building with Ideal Homes In Iluka- Roof Timbers 70Feb 21, 2013 4:46 pm Here are a few roof timber pictures.. looks like the guys have been doing a great job and today they started do some of the pointy stuff so hopefully the shape will be more prominent soon Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Building with Ideal Homes In Iluka 71Feb 21, 2013 6:05 pm Good stuff Col. Re: Building with Ideal Homes In Iluka 73Feb 22, 2013 8:24 am Haha not many to count Col. I don't think our brickies liked the weather yesterday. Still just half a bedroom and half an ensuite Re: Building with Ideal Homes In Iluka 74Mar 07, 2013 11:01 am Well tomorrow will be 3 weeks since the roof timbers started and the guys still havent finished.. the average time it has been taking for all the roofs around ours is 5 days but nope not ours... the reason for this is that they have two apprentices working on our roof whilst the boss is off doing another roof... i have a building inspector going in on monday to check that everything is ok because quite frankly this company couldnt run a bath never mind a buiilding company Re: Building with Ideal Homes In Iluka 75Mar 07, 2013 3:26 pm I'm sorry to hear you are so upset.
