but at the end of the day ( with or without third party inspection) i think most of the houses built in Melbourne are quite good ( look at those millions dollars houses in Toorak built in 1960's, Kevin was not even borned to inspect them !! ) esp when building with a reputable builder, it is not at their best interest to build doggy house, so spend the money in the way you like , you won't regret as long as u feel comfortable.

My partner said the same thing. Even on houses that cost 800k + to build will have something to be fixed.

Hi Damon,

It's good that the slab issue has already been fixed.
I just hope that how they fixed it properly.
We had several areas with overhang issue too and when they fixed it, some were not acceptable and so they fixed it to our satisfaction.
What we did was to take photos of how they fixed it to have it documented.
Because once they fix the issue by putting cement on it, you won't be able to show to your inspector what was done inside.

A positive approach i must say, seems that Damon through an open line of communication with his supervisor has managed to raise his concern, allow for proper due dilligence, an appropriate outcome and rectification and a smile at the end of the day. Good for you Damon, keep up the positive work and i am sure you will be more that happy with your PD experience.
