How wonderful that will be! I love the fact you've decided to put it in your ensuite so it's just for you and your husband - you can have peaceful time away from the kids. The rest of your plan looks great and I love the style of the kitchen you're basing it on. Best regards, Jemima. Dale Alcock Homes. We love building. Cannot wait Jemima! I love that it's part of our bedroom too and not hidden away in the bathroom! My friend has one in a similar spot in her bathroom and has a TV in her bedroom that she can move around so she can laze away and watch TV of an evening 1rocky ... i also nearly went for the farmjouse ceramic .... It took a while for our consultant to understand what I was talking about - he had never seen one before! The price came back alot for just a sink so we went for the round one instead (which Ive hidden away in the corner!! Sta tuned - Ive got some photos from the weekend... : : : : : : : : : : : : 2014 | Time to move to the country 2012 | Our Build with Dale Alcock https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61943 Re: Building Perth Northern Suburbs with Dale Alcock Homes 24Jan 07, 2013 12:20 pm The brickies have been onsite now for about 7 weeks (including christmas) They are doing a great job. Had a chat to them over the weekend, they think perhaps another week and a half for them to be completed. http://i1283.photobucket.com/albums/a543/beachside_/IMG_5881_zpsceef36e5.jpg http://i1283.photobucket.com/albums/a543/beachside_/IMG_5882_zps567bfbee.jpg http://i1283.photobucket.com/albums/a543/beachside_/IMG_5883_zps2a52cd48.jpg http://i1283.photobucket.com/albums/a543/beachside_/IMG_5885_zpse2133966.jpg http://i1283.photobucket.com/albums/a543/beachside_/IMG_5895_zps81e5d552.jpg Looking at window coverings at the moment - Thinking Roman Blinds for main areas / master bedroom, Curtains/sheer net for the other bedrooms and Rollers for the bathrooms.. Also thinking about getting the windows tinted as Ive heard it makes a huge difference. We will have R3.0 Batts to the ceiling and Permivac in the cavity walls. : : : : : : : : : : : : 2014 | Time to move to the country 2012 | Our Build with Dale Alcock https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61943 Re: Building Perth Northern Suburbs with Dale Alcock Homes 25Jan 07, 2013 12:49 pm brickies are doing a great job and very neat too looking at your pics Re: Building Perth Northern Suburbs with Dale Alcock Homes 26Jan 07, 2013 2:08 pm Looking good beachside!!! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Hubby was planning on doing the electrical work this weekend but we STILL haven't received his paperwork from the 'electrical people' (sorry not my area of expertise). We are so happy with our choice of brick - most other homes in our street are cream brick - so its nice we are a little different. : : : : : : : : : : : : 2014 | Time to move to the country 2012 | Our Build with Dale Alcock https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61943 Re: Building Perth Northern Suburbs with Dale Alcock Homes 32Feb 03, 2013 11:32 am It's amazing how fast the roof goes on. We did the same, drove past one afternoon and still had just a frame, drive by the next morning and there was a roof! It was quite unexpected! Looking great! Building the Riva by Dale Alcock Homes. Electrical All Completed. We've rented a few home so hopefully we've thought of everything. Nothing too different, but we have put points in the bedroom cupboards to accommodate study desks for the kids - an idea Ive seen online and also a point int he linen cupboard for our dyson hand-held (an idea a friend suggested) We've gone for Clipsal C-Bus so there's a lot of pretty pink cable throughout the house! Not to mention downlights - woah - I think hubby may have gone a little overboard! We definately wont be left in the dark...this is our hallway - Ill post up a photo of the downlights etc when we have chosen them. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We were on-site on Tuesday and the guys were just finishing off the ceiling and we about to put up the cornices- Hubby said it was the best job he had seen in his 15 or so years of being a sparky. http://i1283.photobucket.com/albums/a543/beachside_/IMG_6268_zps160f8187.jpg { this was from last week and we have glass in the frames } Our site has been cleaned up - we left it too late to ask for the bricks to be left so they've all gone The only other little thing niggling at me was how dirty the window tracks are - I just read the same comment on another post so thought I'd mention it too as apparently that's pretty normal so Im not too worried now! And If you've never built before you dont know these things! When they put the glass in the door frames the protective cover was removed (obviously) and now there is a dent - will have to see if we can get that sorted. http://i1283.photobucket.com/albums/a543/beachside_/IMG_6270_zpsef739de2.jpg We have been notified we'll have a new CLO next week and that Plaster Setting will also commence. Im off to look at some window coverings today and will pop back to site to take some more pics to share tonight : : : : : : : : : : : : 2014 | Time to move to the country 2012 | Our Build with Dale Alcock https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61943 Re: Building Perth Northern Suburbs with Dale Alcock Homes 35Feb 28, 2013 2:11 pm Hi Beachside. Thanks polack - it all looks great together i think. Nice to have a different coloured home to everyone else in the street. Here's a pic from this morning - the guys were busy working so I took a pic thru the window of our bedroom looking towards the ensuite - white set to be finished today ... does this mean we'll be locked out soon? http://i1283.photobucket.com/albums/a543/beachside_/IMG_0215_zps161b0322.jpg Spent the afternoon yesterday looking at window coverings.. awaiting a quote for internal white shutters for the bedrooms, bathrooms and theatre (pending the price backup for bedrooms will be twin curtains so a blockout behind and a sheer in front) Jamaican/Roman Blinds for the Living areas and verticals for the Laundry .. I didn't mind the Panel Glide but for the laundry they were a little costly. : : : : : : : : : : : : 2014 | Time to move to the country 2012 | Our Build with Dale Alcock https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61943 Re: Building Perth Northern Suburbs with Dale Alcock Homes 38Apr 02, 2013 5:57 pm A lot has been happening on site over the last month. We've got the kitchen, bathroom and laundry in. Tilers have started. Spa bath has been bricked up. Garage floor has been poured. Plumbers have been in. We had our tiler meeting last week - that was all good - we decided to remove the feature tile in the laundry as I didn't like how it would have gone 'thru' the taps. Our SS and Tiler were worried that we didn't have a hob next to the spa but we've decided to risk it and go without a hob for the look we are after (fingers crossed we don't overflow the spa onto our wooden floorboards! We have a Pre-Handover date of the end of May. After alot of consideration I think we are about 99% certain of having timber shutters for all the bedrooms and bathrooms, Roman blinds for the living areas and a Panel blind in the Laundry. A few little issues have come up and we are in the process of getting this sorted. Our Powder Room door hits the vanity when the door opens, SS suggested a stopper but after thinking about it and the price we are paying for this build we're not happy with having a stopper so we are trying to think of another option.. currently it stands at cutting the bricks and moving the door frame across. The other issue is the kitchen sink isn't in the centre of the cabinet Not sure why either of these are incorrect as they are perfect on our plans! And of course Ive got a few photos...
