Some updated garden pics below. Coming along nicely I think. The new garden area looks so sparse compared to the rest but I'm sure it will grow quickly enough. http://i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x400/smallnads/Royal%20Manor/IMG_4320_zpsd2r15xi6.jpg The new Lomandra looks so tiny compared to the others! http://i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x400/smallnads/Royal%20Manor/IMG_4348_zpsbmqodu4f.jpg Re: Our custom home -downslope- Front landscaping almost fin 1008Jul 19, 2016 8:56 am Very nice HA! Love the Nandina, ours are similar. My Hamptons build (completed): viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63370 Moved in Wednesday 11th Dec 2013 Front landscaping completed June 2016 Re: Our custom home -downslope- Front landscaping almost fin 1009Jul 19, 2016 1:54 pm Thanks Sammy & Cinder. Yes I love Nandinas. I really like how their colours change with the seasons. So we also recently had some block out blinds and pelmets installed in our kitchen/meals/family area. We previously didn't have blinds as we don't need them for privacy but I decided to get them to a) finish off the room, and more importantly b) to help with insulation. In winter you can really feel the cold through the windows and the heater works overtime which costs $$$ so hopefully these will help. It was hard to get a picture but here they are. We have two of these windows side by side but I only took a pic of one. We are looking at building and the selections are doing my head in. We have similar taste and reading through has really helped cement some ideas for me. One thing I was trying to find was a pic of your walk in pantry with fridge inside (you commented on another thread about fridge inside) and it has caught my attention as we have a massive walk in pantry to fit out and I hadn't thought of that. Do you have a pic? I haven't been able to find one. If so has it started to mark the ceiling with smoke stains? Oh! and the blinds look great of course, the loss of heat is a real issue. This is not installed to the manufacturers installation specification and hence is not fit for purpose, voids warranty and possibly not meet code. You can have a flat panel of glass that runs across the narrow panel over the… 1 6103 ![]() What are the most important factors to consider when choosing a builder for a custom-built home, especially to ensure quality and staying within budget? 0 20480 |
