Browse Forums Building A New House Re: building a custom adenbrook on north coast 81Jan 05, 2013 7:55 am i think you would get away with it as there are doors separating the areas. It depends on what look you are going for. Sometimes people tile half way A) for cost and B) the paint colour on the top half of the wall can be a feature in itself. Personally I have never been too obsessed with tiling all the way up as I have seen some very clever uses of colour with half tile and half paint however it was a deal breaker for my husband so we have tiled all the way up. Havent helped have I . It is something however I have noticed that people pick up on as a positive when looking to purchase a home so maybe if its in the budget do it? viewtopic.php?f=31&t=46741 Clovelly - Masterton Homes 5% to M 290312 CDC 21/06 20 days 29/08 Slab 17/09 Frame 26/09 Bricks 24/10 Roof tiles 20/11 Re: building a custom adenbrook on north coast 82Jan 05, 2013 8:27 am thanks dsa39 it is in the budget as we are buying all the tiles for the house including wet areas and received a good deal at the tile place. also like the idea of the half and half . i suppose i could always wait see how the main bath tiles goes and then talk to tiler because he is going to be at the house for a week or so or i could go a feature wall have it painted Re: building a custom adenbrook on north coast 83Jan 05, 2013 2:11 pm One of the things we did was go through HomeWorld display village, they spend thousands on interior designers and you get to check it out for free! I took alot of photos on my iPhone which has really helped when trying to convey an idea. Just went out to have a look at pavers for the alfresco and have literally come back BBQd! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=46741 Clovelly - Masterton Homes 5% to M 290312 CDC 21/06 20 days 29/08 Slab 17/09 Frame 26/09 Bricks 24/10 Roof tiles 20/11 Re: building a custom adenbrook on north coast 84Jan 05, 2013 2:33 pm would love to have seen more display homes not much choice in display homes here but did get some great ideas from them. it is hot here but down south it is supposed a heat wave. Re: building a custom adenbrook on north coast 96Jan 08, 2013 10:37 am It really depends on the size of the TV you will have and how comfortable you will be with being closer to it. Will also affect the type of lounge you have. Ours is on the longer wall as the short wall has a sliding door on it however I feel we will have a bit more space for the lounge and it wont seem as crowded viewtopic.php?f=31&t=46741 Clovelly - Masterton Homes 5% to M 290312 CDC 21/06 20 days 29/08 Slab 17/09 Frame 26/09 Bricks 24/10 Roof tiles 20/11 Re: building a custom adenbrook on north coast 97Jan 08, 2013 11:53 am Re: building a custom adenbrook on north coast 98Jan 08, 2013 3:47 pm Wish there was a Like button viewtopic.php?f=31&t=46741 Clovelly - Masterton Homes 5% to M 290312 CDC 21/06 20 days 29/08 Slab 17/09 Frame 26/09 Bricks 24/10 Roof tiles 20/11 Re: building a custom adenbrook on north coast 100Jan 08, 2013 6:36 pm It's starting to look more like a house!
