Hi Panch, We sold the original 3 bedroom cottage to a house removal company who collected it off our land and left our the plot as a clean/clear site. They on-sold it and transported it (in two halves) to Tenterfield where it was joined and re-fitted to live on for many more years to come. ----------------------------------------------- http://pab34newdigs.blogspot.com.au/ ----------------------------------------------- Re: Breezeway House (was: New build.....starting at last!) 37Nov 05, 2018 6:05 pm PAB_34 Panch Hi there! It will be really helpful if I can get the name of the removal company please! Thank you! Re: Breezeway House (was: New build.....starting at last!) 38Dec 12, 2018 7:54 am Hi, we realise that your build was 6 years ago, (and the house looks amazing) but we have been messed around by builders for 5 years now. We want to knock down our little Post-war home and build a new. We were wondering what your experience was like using Breezeway, would you recommend them, did they work to your budget/quote, are you happy with the overall experience, and the finish of your home? Re: Breezeway House (was: New build.....starting at last!) 39Dec 12, 2018 8:25 pm Hi, Darren at Breezeway was great to deal with. I had my own plans that I gave him which he was happy to work with and finesse. Pre-signing we spent a lot of time sorting out the design and construction details e.g. a recess that the folding screens sit in when not in use, floor level is "flat" across the boards and the stacker door tracks, etc. As he's a builder with a lot of practical knowledge he will tell you what can and can't be built upfront. Worked to our budget - we had 4 or 5 variations along the way (instigated by us) so we knew what they were and what the cost was going to be, nothing unexpected from Breezeway. We did 'over-spec' the original contract so the original price was close to what we were expecting with the level of finish we hoping for. It was finished ahead of time and overall experience was good - I'd happily have him build my next home. Lastly, the 'finish'. Overall the construction and finish are quite good. There were some minor issues with paint and grouting. This unfortunately comes down to which sub-contractor Breezeway are using at the time, I know he doesn't use the same people that worked on our home now but who's on their team and what their quality/finishing is like - I can't comment. These two are by Breezeway and are currently for sale if you wanted to look thru a couple of their houses: https://www.realestate.com.au/property- ... -129907842 https://www.realestate.com.au/property- ... -129957010 Good luck! ----------------------------------------------- http://pab34newdigs.blogspot.com.au/ ----------------------------------------------- Re: Breezeway House (was: New build.....starting at last!) 40Dec 13, 2018 7:51 am PAB_34 Hi, Darren at Breezeway was great to deal with. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 8 17170 1 10463 |
