Hey all!
New member here and hope to be active whilst after i have all of my finances sorted and done .
I have been looking at land lots in Ellenbrook (Perth) and me and the wife want to get something there, so been looking at whats available at the moment.
I am getting abit confused with land lot sizes compared to what the home designers offer with their designs.
If you buy a piece of land that is lets say frontage of 14m whilst it is 280m2, it being 20m long. When looking at some designs for 14m frontage home designs, their total space is 250m2, so you would have 30m2 still available, would the extra space just be converted to garden (side, front and back?). Would this also be the cause if trying to put a 12m frontage on a 14m frontage?
I also have seen lots of designs not match up to the length of land that usually is advertised along with it. Such as 14m frontage and 280m2 land whilst it being 20m - then you have the home design at being 21m. Is there some sort of measurements or placements i am not getting.
Sorry for the silly questions as this is the first time im getting into the housing area from renting for too long!!!
