We're in!!!... Finally

In short, we have now been in our new house for just over a week. A few set backs but we're in!

I've been very slack in updating the blog, but after plenty of pressure form you guys (one in particular :wink:

) it has now been updated with plenty of pics & story... more to come.

Very nice colour selection you've got.
Love the kitchen.. those chunky C/S benchtop (we'll have one of those too!).
Love the timber windows and doors!
Very nice colour contrast for your wet area tiles and cupboard doors!

You must be very happy now...
How long did it take to finish the house?

2) What colour is your splashback? We are also having a white kitchen and just love the simplicity of yours!!

Site started the first week in September & we moved in the last week in March, so in total around 7 months to complete. Not bad I thought.

Totally love the colours we chose. They all go very well together. Most of them are from the display home with a few changes. Love the timber look as well. I know maintainance is a lot higher but it's worth it.

Still getting used to the size of the kitchen :shock:

Hey Bel.

1) The main render colour is called Twiggy (T111-4W) & the accent colour is Green Tea (T122-7A) from Taubmans

2) The glass splashbacks are the clear glass upgrade (is that starfire??? not sure) with the same colour as our walls, Semi Sec (P011-L2) from Bristol

3) The garage door is the timber look aluminium called Timbergrain Caoba.

All questions happily answered

Took me a day to get all the family photos & art up on the walls... one of the necessities from the boss when we moved in.

Can't believe we've got all the boxes unpacked (don't look in the garage :shock:

) . Looks like we've been in for months. Big pats on the back for the lovely wife... (& helpers)

These are some of the colour names that I've put together. Really happy with the laminate floorboards aswell. The better ½ wanted to go with tiles downstairs, & I wanted timber floors, so in the end we compromised on the laminate. Wasn't too sure how they'd come up, maybe too dark, but the match everything soooo well I think.

Well firstly, congrats! Your house looks awesome. And secondly, congrats for being able to unpack that quick. I tell ya, my house still looked like a bomb site after a week. Hehe

And your house is very clean. Do you guys actually live in it? JK! :lol:

Oh, and I love the external of your house. The colours are fab! And that light thingy in one of your kitchen cupboards - that looks heavenly!

Thanks Everyone...

Sry, been off work for a week & can't get the f***n internet to work at home :cry:

. Hopefully be fixed by next week.

Firstly the lights in the kitchen cupboards... They have a opaque plastic front & a built in downlight in each one so the light shines through when they're closed.

We do actually live in it & you're not the first person to ask YSSIM. I vac'd & mopped yesterday & it took well over 1½ hrs. One downside to a bigger house.

Mr "TV" is coming this arvo to mount the TV's & aerial, speakers etc so finally we can unleash the 50" from the box... & the 32" which is also still in the box :oops:

Driveway should also be done sometime today, hopefully. I cleaned out the garage (as much as I could) so we can get at least one car in there for now.
