Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 11, 2012 11:37 am Hi, we are in the process of trying to decide on a building company to build a home in country South Australia. We are deciding between wahlstedt quality homes and fairmont. Our plans are for custom designed 4/5 beds 2 living areas, 2 bathrooms, and is around 200sq/m We are hoping to get in under a budget of $300000. Just wondering if anybody has any tips or infomation on this. We are first time builders and finding it all very daunting Re: building in country south australia?? 3Apr 19, 2013 12:41 am hi dani, zub and i are pretty much neighbours. we are building in the country. i dont think you will be able to get a house of that size for $300 000. our land was $120 000 and base price on house was $127550 so that is already $247550 then we had fixed footings at $22 000(yours may be variable price) which brings it to $267 550 then there is septic tank at $5200 and a requirement for our estate is 2700mm high ceilings which cost us about an extra $5500. our house is a 4 bedroom, 2 living areas, 2 bathroom house with alfresco under main roof. good luck with your decisions Re: building in country south australia?? 4Apr 19, 2013 11:41 am Hi Dani7070, whereabouts are you planning to build?
