Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 11, 2012 10:39 am Hi All, Need to have some sort of gutter protection system installed due to a large tree overhanging the roof. So far I have discovered 3 types - Colorbond Mesh, Aluminium Mesh and a Plastic Mesh. I have a colorbond roof and all 3 come profiled to fit the shape of the roof and the fitting systems are all similar. I am in Queens Park so fire risk is not an issue, just wondering if anyone has any experience with any of there? Thanks! Re: Gutter Guard Recommendations in Perth? 2Jan 26, 2013 7:57 am We also have large trees over the house - eucalyptus. (in Sydney). Interested to see what people recommend - some threads here say any type of gutter guard is a waste of time as you have to remove it to get rid of sediment etc underneath. We don't have any at the moment and my partner gets up 3-4 times a year to clean out the leaves. As he gets older - wondering if we should just pay someone to do this rather than paying for guard that would still need manually cleaning.
