Hi everyone,
I have looked through a heap of posts and kept getting distracted by everyone's stories so I thought it best to just ask my question and sit back and wait for the answers.
My wife and I have spent countless hours lurking in display villages and have finally decided that the PH eclipse Q1 is for us. Just like everyone else we are trying to stick to a budget and we are fortunate enough to have family/friends who can supply and fit the kitchen, do the tiling(wife wants a LOT of tiles), painting is covered etc.
What experience has everyone had with the major builders reducing the cost of their house when we are not using their services. I have read that they are more than happy to add costs if you want a wall in addition to the plans, but they wont reduce the price if you take away a whole room. Some of the posts have not been too reassuring and I get the feeling that the extras are where they get their cream on top of their profit.
Cheers
Dan
