Your build is looking good Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Brickwork prog 102Mar 22, 2014 7:56 pm Roofing material has been delivered, so hopefully have a roof in a months time, we can then start catching water for the tank. Just some photos from today. Brickwork is probably 90-95% complete. Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Brickwork prog 103Mar 22, 2014 9:48 pm It's really taken shape, love your bay windows Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Brickwork prog 104Mar 23, 2014 9:01 am Love it. Really starting to take shape. I see you have your rainwater tank in. Who did you buy from? Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Brickwork prog 105Mar 23, 2014 9:46 am Wow that's what I call an update great stuff LC <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=62083">viewtopic.php?t=62083</a><!-- l --> Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Brickwork prog 106Mar 23, 2014 10:47 pm Great progress. Love that bedroom window! My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64437 Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Brickwork prog 107Mar 24, 2014 8:00 pm Cheers, it's great seeing it take shape. Can't wait now! It seems the more of the house gets done the more impatient my wife and I have become. Nuadventure, our tank is a pioneer tank, Im pretty sure it's the gt200. For pumping I got a grundfos cmb5-5, grundos 100L pressure tank and a cynortic platinum filter. Haven't made these up yet in case they go walkies, still using the loan pump from the place we bought the tank from. Don't forget to organise the underground power and water run from tank to the house, atleast before things physically start getting in the way making it awkward. Just look up the local distributor/agent for the tanks near you. Rhino and pioneer seem to be the top names, but there are quite a few more options, best to get the advice off someone local in your area. Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Brickwork prog 108Mar 24, 2014 8:18 pm Thanks LC, will be getting onto the tanks quite soon. Only had rhino or blue scope investigated. Will check out pioneer too. Thanks for the heads up regarding the power. Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Brickwork prog 109Apr 26, 2014 12:52 pm A little update, since the last post. Roof has started - hopefully we get the roof completed before the rain really starts, just so work can carry on inside - fingers crossed. It's a shame you don't have a roof on yet. We are also in Chittering, just a bit further up the highway, been here for a long time. We're about to put up another shed, plans are with the shire now. And if this build works out we may look at putting up a farmstay. Sure is a beautiful area. I haven't figured out how to add a photo yet. Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Roof started 111Apr 27, 2014 6:10 pm Hi RuffTuff, According to the weather forecast, the rest of the week is fine so hopefully the carpenter can pitch the roof ready for the sheets in the next week or two - can only hope for the best. Be really good if we can start catching the rain and keep the house dry so work can keep going. For photos I use imageshack, but it was only free for a month or so then I had to pay $20 which gave me a 1 year account, there may be other sites that are free it just seemed easier at the time to pay it and keep using it. Once the image is uploaded from your computer to the photo server, each photo has a link to itself, simply paste the link in between img tags, like so '[img]a.link.of.uploaded.photo[/img]' I've got to put in our application for the shed soon. I've just been flat out with work which meant I haven't had time to do anything at the block. I could do with 2 weeks off so I can finish my retaining wall, then I can put the shed up. If I put the shed up now, I wont be able to get the bobcat in to lift the top blocks onto the wall. All the best with the shed - are you putting that up yourself or getting someone to do it? Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Roof started 112Apr 27, 2014 8:26 pm Nice drop of rain. And it's in the tank now We run a dual water system so this lot went into the low grade water used for the toilet and garden. Now the roof is clean the next will go into the drinking water. Yes, we are constructing the shed ourselves. Just drawing up the engineering plans. As soon as the building permit is issued we'll get started. Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Roof started 113Apr 29, 2014 12:12 pm We passed a Redink vehicle heading your way this morning and there is fine weather forecast for the rest of the week....... Maybe you're in luck! Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Roof started 114Apr 29, 2014 1:54 pm Wow that really is quite a view you have, just beautiful! Hope that roof goes on soon. Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Roof started 115Apr 29, 2014 3:26 pm Looks like you're making good progress. Those bay windows are awesome, views from inside will be great Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Roof started 116May 01, 2014 11:03 pm Cheers Duke, ardie and Ruff. Fingers crossed the carpenter was able to do more work whilst the weather was ok this week. Heading up this weekend to work on the retaining wall, so if anything new has been done I'll post an update. Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Roof started 117May 16, 2014 11:08 pm Got some new pics but didn't have time to post them. Had to be somewhere on short notice (still out here be home this week). We just got informed by our C.L.O that the roof sheets should be up this coming week - so fingers are crossed I can post pics of the house with a roof in a weeks time!!! Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Roof started 118May 17, 2014 2:16 am Hi, finally got back on line to check out your build ( internet down for ages...now on to my second modem.) Looking forward to roof pics!! Re: Building in Chittering Retreat...Redink...Roof started 119Jun 03, 2014 12:28 am Not a whole lot to update, it's been pretty wet in Perth. Roof timbers, plumbing and electrical stuff has been done. I believe the guttering will be going on soon. Hoping for a few days of good weather shortly for the roof sheets to go on. At least it's nice and green out there at the moment. Some photos from last month after the timbers went up. Hopefully I put up pics shortly of the house with the roof sheets on!
