Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 21Dec 06, 2012 11:32 pm Not a problem! I considered a corner brick pantry but we would have lost way too much bench space and I am now pretty happy that it will actually all flow across the kitchen. Weve added the wall to the fridge recess and cupboards across the top. It wasn't going to cost us extra to do the brink pantry so hopefully it will be the same the other way around! Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 22Dec 06, 2012 11:40 pm fingers crossed it won't be too much.. i have quite a bit of cupboard space with the wrap around kitchen but still iffy on not having overhead cupboards.. will need to have a good think before pre start.. decisions decisions Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 23Dec 06, 2012 11:50 pm We've only put them in over the fridge at the moment, to balance the pantry. We've left the top ones off for now as they are pretty expensive and we though we could get them done later if we decide we need them... Possibly go with ones with a frosted glass front so we don't have to worry about them not quite matching. We wish wed added more to our original build but got many things costed at prestart which now gives us a chance to keep or delete. Kitchen cabinets are some of the expensive things so get them in early!! Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 25Dec 16, 2012 5:50 pm Hi Nicci!!! We are building with HomeGroup WA too!! We are very nearly at handover which will hopefully be late jan early feb! We got quite a lot of upgrades, both in the Pre Contract Quotation and at prestart, let me know if there are any your interested in and I will let you know if we got it!! Most of them are in my thread on page 7 as well http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=51894&start=120 I love your bathroom tiles and colours!! We went very neutral and browns not creams too... the formical colours you have chosen are stunning!!! We signed up officially in December (finally had settlement on our block on December 15) so you will probably have very similar timings to us! Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 26Dec 18, 2012 3:38 pm Hiyah I saw your timeline, looks like a normal time for building.. would you build through them again? So far so good with HGWA for us, no complaints. I have tried to put in most things now as prestart we will pay out of pocket and wont put it on the loan. I want to get an extra remote for the garage, a pretty glass splashback.. I love your benchtop colour, im going to go for a white kitchen this build. We have painting included but im wondering if its just one colour for the whole house or do we get to pick different colours for different rooms etc we have included soakwells, crossover, overheads to one side in the kitchen, 1200 entry door and above basin sinks in our PCQ, hoping we dont spend a lot a prestart. Our timeline was fantastic, a lot faster than expected!! I wouldn't hesitate to build with them again. They were a bit slower with the paperwork, but we had no errors with ours so it pays off! They don't really send us an update of whats happening except for letters of the next stage, but we live nearby and check every day. I also work at the window company they use so know when my next stage is booked. What I know from being their supplier also made me choose them over others We put a lot into PCQ so we would not go to crazy at prestart.... included a $5000 data cabling, because even though my partner is licenced cabler, he cbf doing it later.... We got an extra remote, i think it was about $90. Pretty standard for that type of thing! Our splashback was $2158 and was a "clarity" colour (more expensive)- but we also have the coffee nook with the returns on it which was 3 pieces so would have been probably about half the total price! They also make the cupboards 700mm deep if splashback is near the stove as if not the heat can crack the glass. Ours were $340 extra. It was cheaper than the tile i chose though! 1 thing though, get them to price up splashback to go behind rangehood! I wish i had. You can always ask them to price it without the behind rangehood and with behind rangehood then choose. Have you seen my pics of it? (i looooooove to show it off! my poor workmates get updated every morning... and they care more than most since we their Anything you think you might want write it on a list and ask the price, then you can edit later. We had 3 lists. Must, Would like, and what the h3ll if its cheap we will. we had 85 items priced.... you are so lucky to get the painting! i am organising quotes now! urg! did you get the package they are currently promoting? its a bloody good package!!!! Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 28Jan 12, 2013 11:08 am I've found that they are slower with paperwork too, but they so thorough so no complaints! What is a clarity Colour? I have seen the pics but will go back to your thread to remember I will make lists, I like being prepared aha! Good idea with the three lists! Yes we luckily got that package, such good value! I swore never to paint a house again after our last one so that was great painting was included! Yes we luckily got that package, such good value! I swore never to paint a house again after our last one so that was great painting was included! The clarity colours apparently have a clearer glass. The normal colour glass can throw greenish hues, so the clarity is more refined. They also only had the metallic colours in clarity option from memory. They had a good range in the not clarity range if you are after a plain solid colour its ok, just bear in mind that a white or pale colour may look greenish. Of course if you choose a blue or green (i would have loved pale blue or green but partner wanted neutral) then it doesn't matter! The colour also looks quite different in a large scale piece compared to the small sample. I think because more light enters the glass then it comes up paler. The colour doesn't change though just the intensity. I still love it as we got it too reflect light back into the kitchen as we don't have any windows. I would ask the splashback place if they have a list of displays or showrooms that you can view as well to go look! In their showroom they only had A4 samples. I ended up getting quite a good quote and have booked painting for the 4th of feb! But we haven't heard about PCI yet, so am starting to stress it wont line up! It will all work out though Jen Building with HomeGroupWA (started as Scott Park Homes ) - Grand Wisteria Check out my Build Thread!! Time line on P1. Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 32Jan 15, 2013 12:05 am Good Day, That looks like a very sizeable house (bigger than mine )! and yes that long alfresco you've got is probably the most stunning feature! If you can bear the cost, I would definitely put in one of these folding/stacking serving windows between the kitchen and alfresco! (think someone mentioned earlier). I noticed you've removed the 2nd sink in the en-suite, it's funny because I added an extra one in even though I'm single! :O (I thought it might add more value than it costed when I sell in future) xD Also above counter sinks are a soo cool! I saw them in many display homes and I definitely had to have them! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I went for this style i saw in a Content display home, Stylus Cerina! I was hoping the showroom would be finished and have a good snoop but everything was on the floor still. We were told should be done by the time our prestart would be booked, so fingerscrossed. I dont know if this is normal but we didnt get our plans after signing the contracts and they sending the original plan with no amendments to the bank? i was hoping to get our plans and get quotes for shutters and tiling etc.. has anyone had this with HGWA too? Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 39Jan 31, 2013 5:01 pm Hmm that sounds odd... We got a copy of our amended plans with the contract, the bank also got the amended ones, not the original un-edited version. Have you spoken to your sales rep at HG? Our Summit rep was great with answering questions, no matter how trivial we thought they were! Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 40Jan 31, 2013 6:18 pm Have you signed the contract or the per contract quotation? We signed contract after prestart which included all our changes and extras. I think our first plans were used for the bank and to get things started in council and then amendments were submitted.
