Re: House not built according to plans 13Feb 16, 2013 9:36 am This happened to me with my first build (an investment property) ... a pillar was place too close to the house meaning that it became part of the house instead of having a small gap. The builder (Henley) told me it would cost them about $8000 to fix it, they offered to deduct the $8K from the final payment or knock it down and put it where it was meant to be place.
