Re: Homebuyers Centre in Wellard - PCI Complete, Keys in 2 w 202Nov 16, 2013 12:38 pm Gaviscon Girl, the colour we chose for the doors was Solver Flashlight+ and there was no additional charge. The walls are Solver Vitesse, which isn't available as a sample from Solver, but was within a colour selection booklet at pre-start. The blinds we chose from Wanneroo blinds are called Pebble, which happen to perfectly match the Vitesse, so we're really happy with the look overall. Also chose chainless weights on the blinds, so it's a bit cleaner looking. I wonder why they want to charge me $1320 for nearly the same paint choices? I would have thought they were very classic choices! You must ve so thrilled to be so close! Just went through your thread and wanted to say it's all looking fantastic. I really really love the flooring you've put in. Makes that kitchen pop. Not too long to go now Re: Homebuyers Centre in Wellard - PCI Complete, Keys in 2 w 206Nov 16, 2013 2:27 pm Nitro I would question additional charges for colour of paint...I can see white for external doors or external metal being more expensive, but internal doors are already white from the factory so two coats covers easily. I did question it. I got home after colours selection and realised they had "Solver Mouse" for not only my walls but also the internal woodwork and doors. I sent through a quick email to ask to change woodwork/doors to Designer White. She said it would cost $640 extra in labour because the painters had to be extra careful with the trim, whereas if they made a mistake with everything the same colour it wouldn't show as much. And then another $680 to do a third coat, because this white requires an extra coat (but the Mouse didn't). I thought about just doing everything white and then painting the walls post-handover, but the only white she says doesn't need a 3rd coat is "First Snow" which is a very cold (bluish!) white. Doesn't sound right and I'm about to go higher up, because all I'm asking for is something like you have and I simply can't afford $1320 and can't understand why they're being so difficult about it. Re: Homebuyers Centre in Wellard - PCI Complete, Keys in 2 w 207Nov 16, 2013 2:44 pm GG, I just send you a PM but I also just thought that HBC in Vic may differ from WA. Sometimes you feel like you're being duped, but I would just try to investigate further and talk to manager if required. In WA the walls internally are rendered as we build with double brick and door frames are metal. Our walls don't tend to come painted by the builder as standard only the doors, door frames, ceiling and cornices are painted as standard. From what I've read of eastern states builds also picking some cabinetry colours is extra where in WA it's only extra if you go for the shiny finish etc... Re: Homebuyers Centre in Wellard - PCI Complete, Keys in 2 w 210Nov 16, 2013 11:20 pm Double brick internal doors and metal door frames? Not sure why we do it differently here in WA Re: Homebuyers Centre in Wellard - Keys Nov 27!! 212Nov 22, 2013 12:11 am Got great news today that we'll be getting our keys next Wednesday, November 27!! We're gonna be moving things in over the days to follow, but will be fully moved in by Saturday, November 30. There's gonna be so much to setup, including the Christmas tree, but we will be getting NBN straight away, so we're super excited about that.
