Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 01, 2012 9:28 pm Hi everyone, new to this forum and Western Australia so seeking some feedback on what's it like living in Byford. My fiancé and I are looking at buying and building in this area and everyone we speak to about it has give us mixed reviews. I happen to love the area as it is close to the airport and the semi rural feel. My original plan was to go door knocking however luckily by finding this forum has saved me from the embarrassment of doors being closed in my face . Also we are down to two builders Easy Start Homes or Aussie Living. Would appreciate any feedback on these two companies. Thanks!! Re: Byford, WA...What's it like to live there? 2Dec 01, 2012 9:56 pm I would say go with Easystart Homes, but only because I work for them. I have a few family members, friends and colleagues all living in or around Byford. They all love the area. 2 Re: Byford, WA...What's it like to live there? 8Dec 02, 2012 12:19 pm If you are down to two builders I would see what you can get for your money.... Find a plan from each you like and get and idea of what it will cost to build each with the inclusions you want... Re: Byford, WA...What's it like to live there? 11Dec 04, 2012 11:02 am Oh cool, glad your've decided on a block. Living out this way is the best, city living country style We live in Mt Nasura & have built in Bedfordale, coming from the country it the best fit for us,we need to be near the airport too. Dont forget, when looking for a builder or picking between 2 you hold the power We were deciding between 2 as well, knowing that the 2nd one gave us afew extra's in the end even without the extra's 1 stood out far ahead of the other. Have had acouple of hick-up's (quite painfull now) but if we chose the first one we would have wished we hadn't would have been even more painfull Good luck, enjoy the ride of building, its an adventure thats for sure Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper! Looking forward to the adventure however very apprehensive as I know it will be quiet a stressful time for us. We are from Qld and definitely love the semi rural feel. No the fireplace doesn’t work. It’s been enclosed. I’m not sure what was removed, as it was done quite some time ago - well before what I can see with photos online… 2 11584 |
