Re: Our Burbank Lukin 2800 - Grand Lakes VIC. Bricks Started 68Apr 29, 2013 10:48 am nickvee Bluesuede Yeah we've got off white mortar with rolled joints Did it come up nice and white or is there a slight tinge of yellow from the sand? I'm pretty happy with it but its a little hard to judge given I'm often not viewing it in the sunniest part of the day and its mostly covered by the scaffold and shade cloth and quite often I'm looking at fresh mortar that hasn't dried. Will really be able to tell once the scaffold comes down and it's washed. I don't really see it as having any yellow to it. Completed a knock down and rebuild in northern Melbourne. I was a bit worried because of the yellow sand, but, i think i am stressing for nothing. I have other photos that make it look really yellow but i think it was because of the sun and of course it's still wet mortar. Thanks Re: Our Burbank Lukin 2800 - Grand Lakes VIC. Thanks To put your mind at ease, here's a photo this afternoon that contrasts the dry mortar against some newly laid mortar. The dry mortar is not yellow at all. http://i1310.photobucket.com/albums/s659/blue5uede/Knock%20Down%20Rebuild/Brick001.jpg Completed a knock down and rebuild in northern Melbourne. Bricks Started 75May 03, 2013 8:51 am I have some updates. Heater, electrical and plumbing are complete. 3/4 of the house is now bricked, i am still a bit concerned that the mortar is not going to whiten anymore, i hope i am just being impatient! The bricks will be finished by tomorrow, if not Monday (depending on the weather). I was thinking would BB really say anything if i went in this weekend and ran my own conduit for audio, not the cables themselves, just the conduit and a pull string.. Bricks Started 76May 03, 2013 9:09 am They are flying along! We ran draw strings. We spoke to our SS first who said it was ok, as long as it isn't something the electrician would install as they will then charge for it, even though they didn't put it in. Build Thread : Burbank Gen 22 Re: Our Burbank Lukin 2800 - Grand Lakes VIC. Bricks Started 77May 03, 2013 9:14 am Thanks Sevven! We want to run audio cables over the ceiling to the other side of the room, so conduit would be a must. So, i assume they would charge for just conduit? I guess i could run just draw string but i think it would be easier with conduit as there would be nothing for the cable to be stuck on. Re: Our Burbank Lukin 2800 - Grand Lakes VIC.
