Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 29, 2012 11:17 pm Hey guys, New to the forum.. and new to building a house. Starting to select colours for our build of the Fairmont with Affordable Living (Tanner Ridge, Dayton, WA). We are keen on a darker brick and have a very limited number of basic selections. Has anyone built with the 2 Course Tammin colour Boral Brick? We have looked around the St Leonards area as well as Ellenbrook looking for anyone building/established with the Tammin 2 course brick but could only find one house without a roof. If anyone has any photos or knowledge of streets/suburbs around Perth that have used the 2 course Tammin colour that would be very helpful. This would be very useful in moving forward with a colorbond selection. Matt Re: Tammin Boral Bricks 2Dec 06, 2012 12:23 pm Hi Matt My girlfriend and I are also building with Affordable in Tanner Ridge, on lot 625. Just playing the waiting game now for land to settle! Where are you? Are we neighbours? ha! I'd recommend checking out Homebase Expo in Subiaco for checking out some brick options. I know it's not a house to look at but it's a start Cheers Josh Re: Tammin Boral Bricks 3Dec 06, 2012 4:18 pm Cool yeah we are Lot 623, so just 2 houses down. Had a look at Home Base Expo, but found it hard to make a judgement based on 1 square foot of bricks. I don't understand why no one has chosen the Tammin colour.. but then again it kind of looks like the type of brick you would render over the top of. Driving around Banksia Grove (where there are a million Afforable Living homes), St Leonards, The Vale and Ellenbrook it seems red brick is very out of fashion. Re: Tammin Boral Bricks 4Dec 10, 2012 12:43 pm Well, hello neighbour! I also agree with you about making a decision from a group of bricks. We've pretty much decided on Augusta Limestone. Tough work deciding bricks, colorbond colors, render colors etc! My girlfriend and I went for a ride on my bike out to the estate on Saturday and they've made some good progress since we last went out. Lots of piping / sewage and land being levelled for what looks to be streets! Good luck with the brick choice Matt! Re: Tammin Boral Bricks 5Mar 12, 2013 5:57 pm Hey Josh, how have you gone with your other decision? We feel like we are done in making our selections, just a few minor things to think about (door colour, roller door colour). Any idea when the Colour Selection Meetings are? I originally thought it would be March.. meaning building between April and August. I really don't see that happening since I haven't heard anything from Afforable Living in a long time. DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair to do it properly you need to dig out the garden and waterproof the outside of the wall. There are some products you can put on the face of the bricks but the water is… 2 4624 Hi All, Recently we have signed a contract with Burbank and we are not aware that they have just DORSET, SURREY, HAMPSHIRE, KENT, PILBARA and REDGUM bricks from PGH are… 0 3165 |
