You must be so pleased with where you're at now given the start you had!! N x Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- that's cool 602Feb 18, 2015 10:16 pm Thank you nikkis, didn't seem like it at times, but hoping it would be worth waiting for in the end...and we are very happy with it. The plan works really well for us. Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- that's cool 603Feb 22, 2015 11:06 pm I think all you would need to do is put a piece of wood, cut to the correct size, on top of your DWasher and then you can use it for pot stands....or whatever. You could use ply and cover with that stick on vinyl stuff...if it is still available....used to be used to line cupboards some time ago. Or...you could use some non slip cupboard liner that is available at Bunnings over the wood. Off to look at your garden thread...thanks. Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- some final touches 604Mar 22, 2015 5:51 pm Just a few final kitchen pics with the little touches I've added.
Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- a few little touches 605Mar 22, 2015 8:53 pm I just love how you put all these little country bits and pieces into your home . I love the chicken . I would like to move further away . With so many kids these houses are too close together he he. The country life is so different . Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- a few little touches 606Mar 23, 2015 12:27 am My darling grew up in a little coastal town...and I always wanted to go live on my uncle's farm. Just love it here and people are so much more relaxed, they have time to smile and talk Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- a few little touches 608Apr 01, 2015 12:28 am So lovely Trees! Love your marri door- very gorgeous and perfect for your home! And your kitchen is so warm and inviting. I love the country too- Everyone is so friendly and thoughtful. Its pretty special hey. Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- a few little touches 609Apr 01, 2015 12:48 am thanks Rache, yes and so good for munchkins, cos there's always something to do outside! Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- a few little touches 610Apr 05, 2015 9:59 pm Oh. My. God. Your house is absolutely stunning. You have another career waiting for you in interior design that's for sure! Your attention to detail is second only to your impeccable good taste. I am incredibly impressed by what you've achieved in such a short space of time. You've managed to turn four walls and a roof (albeit four beautiful walls and a very stylish roof) into what can only be described as a superbly beautiful, friendly and warm, country family home. Well done you xoxo Yanchep build with Dreamstart Homes ____________________________________________________________ Our build thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=73323 Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- a few little touches 611Apr 06, 2015 3:45 pm Wow, thank you! I haven't really gone with any current trends, so didn't expect too many ppl to be appreciative! But I've achieved what I wanted, a welcoming, relaxed country home, I'm happy you like it too!! Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- last hurrah 612Apr 18, 2015 10:53 am Well we have finally heard back about the maintenance. Most things are very minor, except our big karri pole is "shrinking" and the ceiling is the worse for wear around it, "confetti" falls every day. Sooo annoying, I need to vaccum every day. Some are big chunks coming out. We didn't realise the poles they use are green- cut down, stripped and installed Anyway the guy had better bring a long ladder! Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- a few little touches 613Apr 18, 2015 11:40 pm Should they have used that kind of Karri pole .( sorry trees I have no idea ) lol . But I'm sure what ever is wrong with it they will fix . Good to here all the rest is minor . I hope some of my list gets done after the school holidays . I will be emailing a list every two weeks to them probley will be forwarding the same email as the last two weeks lol . Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- a few little touches 614Apr 19, 2015 12:29 am We were shocked the pole was green, we thought they would use aged timber. Cant believe you are still waiting for stuff to be done Melsie! Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- a few little touches 616May 01, 2015 1:54 pm Mels, you would think so, you might have to "remind" them again now school is back!! The maintenance is done. My ceiling actually looks neat and tidy around the karri pole and beams. Hopefully no more "confetti" falling down now... and they took the valve thingies out of the bathroom fans, ensuite ones kept us awake banging all night in the wind. DH actually gave the fan covers a "birthday" which was badly needed, I tried to get them off to clean them ages ago but they were on too tight. Needed a bit of muscle!! hehe. Can't believe it's nearly 12 months since we've been in. Happy housing everyone!! Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- a few little touches 617May 02, 2015 11:58 pm I'm glade they fixed your pole . We were told that those flap things they wouldn't take out something to do with 6 star energy rating and that my partner had to do it . Hmm don't know about that one he he . Ours don't really bother us as we just close the doors . But I know what you mean about being quite loud Partner got ours down to clean a couple of months ago but that toke ages for him to actually do . I hate the dead flies in them .lol . Just to get him to clean the aircon filters is hard .bloody men . Omg 1 year it went so fast . Ours is the 4 June and still haven't finished inside . I just feel like paying someone to finish painting the rest of the rooms . My partner might be going to work away so could be in our 2 year before its finished lol Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- a few little touches 618May 03, 2015 12:30 am We like to have the through breeze from the ensuite to the bedroom except when it's blowing a gale! so we took them out, can always get them back in again I guess? This is the first house we've ever had painted right through before we moved in, there's crayon on the kid's room walls that won't come off- so it looks lived in- . But i still open a cupboard and see the paint in there and get a little thrill (small things amuse small minds) hehe. Yes it's a year for us in June as well- how did it go so fast? Oh, will he be FIFO? hope he gets a good shift and not too long away between... DH has spent all weekend doing the walls for his man cave inside the shed, we went to the dump today and I scrounged an old 40 road sign for one of the walls and it looks cool on there. He's lined it with old sheets of galvanised iron on the outside so it fitted in. Also I told him 40 was so he could be reminded to slow down and enjoy rather than having to get everything done at 150mph. and only taking me out to the dump hehe Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- a few little touches 619May 03, 2015 12:45 am Ha ha how romantic . Yeh my partner reminds me all the time to enjoy life a bit more and stop wanting everything prefect and finished . It's still going to be there tomorrow ,next year , maybe the year after lol . He will be 4 and 1 . Long hey . But there really isn't any other option . To many loans and too many kids. He he . But I'm going to win lotto or at least one person in my family is lol. We won't to see man cave when finished . Hey maybe he will invite you for a romantic dinner in the man cave . Partner just walked down hallway and said who marked the walls . I just look at it now and walk away . and just think how much I hate painting . Lol Re: Our Half Acre Heaven- a few little touches 620May 03, 2015 12:56 am Might post a pic once it's done but atm it's so full of junk and rubbish, he has more storage than our whole house in there but nothings organised on the shelves so most of them are empty. So it's gonna take him some more weekends before he gets it all sorted out, he has an old tin and old bottle collection. Men say women are the hoarders but I know so many whose hubbies can't let go of stuff in their shed cos it might be useful some day... of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them. I find it odd that lawyers wouldnt be willing to take on the case, given CCT evidence and… 1 23764 "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 36 23886 |
