Browse Forums Building A New House Re: survey cost 21Nov 21, 2012 10:50 am From my builder "In W.A to get building approval council require a engineer certification with drawings". got to give the council employees something to do - and its all about liability - if your house falls down your slope, councils dont want to get involved. one tree - phoning the council is the best bet - everything goes by them, so you may as well play the game. and ask them every question you can think of over the phone. The advice will be free, so take it and write it down. Re: survey cost 22Nov 21, 2012 10:58 am ah you're in WA, it may be different there. I'm in Victoria, the site survey is conducted by surveying engineers so that may be the engineer certification that they're referring to. I have spoken to my council and it's all good as far as they're concerned (things might change tomorrow, who knows!). Re: survey cost 24Feb 27, 2013 5:00 am A reestablishment survey sometimes called a check survey is done by a licensed surveyor and they set out the boundary by placing survey pegs, small square topped ones, and a higher marker peg. A contour survey might be a feature survey and shows contours i.e. levels slope etc and should pick up buildings, trees and so on. One might get both done, but they are for different purposes. Give "Holt Surveying" they are based around Eight Mile Plains 3 1150 A survey must’ve completed by a certified surveyor. This form part of every DA requirement 3 179605 ask the surveyor for clarification would be the logical approach 1 15967 |
