What next? 21Nov 21, 2012 5:02 pm we have currently given procorp 8500 dollars at the moment and all we have are coucil approved da plans no construction certificate has been issued i am not aware of and believe they do not give u home insurance till cc is issued how do we stand is the money all gone u think? If you don't have insurance but have paid money this can be very different though. Don't give up there, speak with the insurer and the Administrator. There is a difference though between a deposit and a holding payment. Lots of builders charge a fee for plans and permits etc before a formal contract. Most often the pre payment is not part of the contract until the full agreement is formalised and that pre-payment is deducted from the full deposit needed under the contract what ever that is. Don't give up, speak to those involved (Administrator, insurer, etc) and if you are not getting the answer you believe is right, get some specialist legal advice.
