After the bank give us another hiccup on Monday (they're useless - actually it's the mortgage coordinator who is not doing her job - but I won't go into that right now) I didn't expect to see anything happening until the issue with the bank was sorted. We were in Riddell anyway so the boys and I did the weekly drive by after school on our way to the youngest's violin lesson and I was so excited to find that the frame has been started. I squealed as soon as I saw it, the boys thought I must have run over something in the car when they heard me - hahaha! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ More pics on my blog. Do you have as much back yard as you thought? lol - pretty much - it's certainly easier to visualise with the slab rather than stepping it out and putting sticks in the ground where we estimate the walls to be. So happy to see progress on your block We had about 4-5 months of delays, and since construction began, each visit to our block feels like christmas for me I hear you! I keep thinking it can't get anymore exciting than it is at the moment, and then I get excited all over again! Re: Building the Drysdale 30 94Nov 07, 2013 8:01 pm OMG not more bank issues! You must feel like its never going to end. Seriously though how good is it walking through the frame. The slab looks small, frame looks big and then plaster looks small again, then painting looks big. Amazing how fast it happens once they get going. Love the pictures! Have a great significant birthday.... Re: Building the Drysdale 30 95Nov 07, 2013 8:07 pm Back Pocket OMG not more bank issues! You must feel like its never going to end. No-nonsense kind of guy and seems to be quite particular on the tradies he uses. We are really happy with the brickwork. It looks great. Today they are finishing up the window sills (depending on the weather of course!) Plaster will be delivered on Monday and put up next week. A few things had been missed. Two of the additional heating points weren't put in so he is chasing that up, as well as one of the external taps not put in. Electricians are there doing their job today. Bricks will be cleaned next week. Our SS thinks we might be in at the start of March! Wahoo! That's one month earlier than contract.
