Re: Procorp - Administrator appointed 675Jan 29, 2013 8:58 pm JustUs Hang in there people, worst is over and the results are and is near! I so look forward to seeing this sorted and finalised with keys in hand! How did everyone fair with the last few days of wild weather with their unfinished constructions, just out of interest really.? we checked on our house yesterday as we have unfinished gyprock up but no doors we have soaking wet walls and a leaking roof inside the garage that has now soaked the the rest of the gyprock that was laying on the ground that was not finished being put up yet . looks like we now have more damage to the unfinished nightmare Re: Procorp - Administrator appointed 676Jan 30, 2013 11:10 am Brokendream- crap that sucks! Never ends does it... I have had energy aust and ausgrid I think they were chasing us for payment but the account is in Procorp's name and set up by them, nothing signed by us so we aren't paying a cent. Although I am concerned they can put a default against us. Hope not but why should we pay when Procorp set it up and I'd say they were connection fees, which would have been part of our contract & Procorp should have paid.. Just doesnt end... Re: Procorp - Administrator appointed 677Jan 30, 2013 11:23 am We've been paying rates $1400/year and water and community/strata fees. It's expensive to own an unused half finished house... I just got off the phone to QBE asking for an update. I got the same general response about the letter being sent out soon to owners regarding what is left to pay etc. Maybe because we are in the Newcastle area the estimators haven't made it up here yet to put a final figure on it? I was told we should have it by the end of next week. Re: Procorp - Administrator appointed 678Jan 30, 2013 12:25 pm Happy New Year to all. Sadly judging by the posts it hasn't started for all as anyone would have wished. From what I've read lately I strongly suggest everyone considers engaging a building consultant to prepare a report and identify ALL of the defective building work. The cost associated is covered by the HOW insurance. I'm surprised that the insurer hasn't engaged an independent assessor to inspect all properties that had work started but if they aren't then you guys should to ensure that any defective work is dealt with and not covered over by the new builder only to reappear down the track. A second claim is that last thing any of you would want. Good luck all Re: Procorp - Administrator appointed 679Jan 30, 2013 3:24 pm JB- can you pm me someone you can recommend in the Newcastle area to do a report on the defective work?? Dan- we are in the Newcastle area too but have our letter. I think it seems people who's house is closer to being finished are getting there letters first so they can start on our homes and get them done and our the way?! Could be wrong.. I've been paying council rates too. Water bills too. Joke it is. Makes me more frustrated the more I think about it. I try not to think to hard lol |
