I just can't work that one out DandH. Why deliver the port-a-loo then through your neighbours hear it's another 5-6 week wait?!!
What more could possibly take another 5-6 weeks?!! I hope it's not that long but the track record speaks volumes
Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Procorp - Administrator appointed 968May 23, 2013 9:49 pm We've been contacted twice by Sekisui now to let us know that the original cornice and laundry tub we selected are no longer available and that an equivalent will be used. No big deal because we can't remember what we chose and they are fairly standard items, hopefully nothing else major pops up. We were called by Tiles Direct today chasing up payment for extra tiles we ordered. We got the impression that Sekisui only contacted them today - almost five weeks since they received our contract. It's super frustrating that its so late, this should have been done weeks ago, but also encouraging to think that maybe those tiles will eventually end up in our bathroom. Re: Procorp - Administrator appointed 969May 24, 2013 9:44 am brokendream I think we need to get Allan jones at 2GB to look into why our homes have not been started yet and why we are all being put through this once again what do you all think It's been very slow and disorganised from early Feb up until early May, which has been frustrating for all of us. For our build, things have seemed a bit more structured since we were allocated a customer service rep and supervisor, although not much happened within the first 5 weeks after we signed our contract. The key question is whether Sekisui will deliver by the promised contract date. As long as they do that, I'll leave it up to them to manage the timing of purchase orders etc. Re: Procorp - Administrator appointed 970May 24, 2013 7:00 pm That's all we want. Is out house in the contract time. If it goes over it'll become stressfull. Please just give us out homes in the timeframes on our contracts!! On a good note I no a couple of people who've had sekisui working at their house and are impressed with the quality of the trades. Re: Procorp - Administrator appointed 971May 24, 2013 7:08 pm that's great to hear some ppl have had work started and are happy with it ill just have to cross fingers and toes and pray they start on the rest of our homes soon Re: Procorp - Administrator appointed 972May 29, 2013 7:44 pm Just a bit of a heads up people. If you know or can find out who did work on your house before Sekisui took over write it down. They need certificates from trades so an occupancy certficate can be issued. Here's a few I now know we need, Wet areas, plumber, electical, windows, shower screens, slab engineer, piers, that's all I can remember at the moment. Here's a few I now know we need, Wet areas, plumber, electical, windows, shower screens, slab engineer, piers, that's all I can remember at the moment. regarding these certificates I have heard that there can be problems trying to get these from some of the contractors that are owed money from pro corp I have a friend that was building with cosmo went it went bust that is still trying to get the plummer to give the certificate they need hopefully sekisui have these under control all ready Re: Procorp - Administrator appointed 975May 30, 2013 7:27 pm Interesting to hear, I was under the impression that an occupancy certificate should be issued by Council or the Certifier who approved the plans, issued the Construction Certificate and who would have had to do critical stage inspections. Up in the Hunter that was Local Group not sure about Sydney or down South. Could be in all areas as Local have offices in all the areas Procorp Built. Critical Stage Inspections are required at Commencement, Piers and Slab (by Engineer) Stormwater usually Council or water authority, Frames, Wet Area and Final. Plumber needs to lodge a diagram showing position of pipes with Council. I have my Kit from Local Group which contains approved plans, engineers detail, Specifications, Basix cert, DA, HWO, and Construction Cert plus a letter. There is no use chasing the other trades as the ProCorp Supervisor should have been checking on them. Think I will give Local group a call tomorrow. ANY Positive Progress Reports from Anyone?? Re: Procorp - Administrator appointed 976May 30, 2013 7:49 pm Hi guys. Thanks for the heads up regarding certificates. I'll try and chase ours up for slab and frame. I'm guessing try Local for those Key Strategist?? Hubby and I drove to site today to actually find a live person on our block. Couldn't believe our eyes. He was checking our steel frame to see if anything needed extra for it and a general look and also informed us that gutters and fascia would be delivered this afternoon. Went for a drive up there just before dark and sure enough gutters and fascia were there ready for installation tomorrow we were told. No port-a-loo so I hope that doesn't indicate that "technically" our build hasn't started. It may come tomorrow?? So not much to report there but progress is progress I guess Hanging in there as I know we all are Re: Procorp - Administrator appointed 977May 30, 2013 10:47 pm Today! Something finally start to happen at my place after 25th day. Portaloo delivered, sign up..... Hoping more happen soon.... Re: Procorp - Administrator appointed 978May 31, 2013 10:13 am We've had a few supplies delivered a couple of days ago and there is someone out there this morning digging a trench, presumably to connect the electricity. We still haven't been appointed a site supervisor yet, at least he hasn't made contact. Communication isn't great at present but I've seen more action in the last week than in the last six months so that ain't bad! Re: Procorp - Administrator appointed 979May 31, 2013 1:22 pm great to hear some homes are getting things del to them and work started we were promised that we would have some work started by the end of this week no such luck as far as today still nothing maybe next week might be better week Re: Procorp - Administrator appointed 980Jun 05, 2013 8:23 am Just thought I'd check in. We had work start about 2 days before our 20 days was up. Our construction manager is great, calls us often for updates. So far we are impressed with what they have done in the time since they have started. We are hoping things keep moving forward nicely & we get our house sooner rather then later |
