Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone got a WINDSPRAY or WOODLAND GREY colorbond roof? 21Nov 23, 2012 11:02 pm I'm not familiar with your choice if brick, but based on the pic, I'd go with woodland grey roof and gutters and dune fascia. Re: Anyone got a WINDSPRAY or WOODLAND GREY colorbond roof? 22Nov 29, 2012 5:03 pm Thanks everyone I'm still stressing out! And with only 4 days until our final builders interview, I'm freaking out! I meet a lovely lady today (I knocked on her front door!!) and she had grange bricks with jasper colorbond roof, and dune roller door. Do you honestly think that it'd look weird if we have the Austral grange brick with Windspray roof and Shale grey roller door? Still not sure on the render colour for the nib out. Any suggestions? Thanks again everyone! Feel free to follow our build! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59958 Re:Anyone got a WINDSPRAY or WOODLAND GREY colorbond roof? H 23Nov 29, 2012 5:49 pm I did this on studioM, and it was the closest i could get to Austral Grange! This is with windspray roof, shale grey render (well its similar!), and shale grey roller door. What do you think? The main reason I prefer the top one is I feel the bottom one with the render being the same colour as the roof tends to look washed out if you know what I mean, with the top one having a lighter contrasting colour it helps draw the eye to your beautiful front entrance. Re: Anyone got a WINDSPRAY or WOODLAND GREY colorbond roof? 31Nov 30, 2012 1:18 pm Agree with PaulMac, I prefer the first pic. I think the different colours and texture accentuate each other well. 1st build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59376 *New*-2nd build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70324&p=1154282#p1154282 Re: Anyone got a WINDSPRAY or WOODLAND GREY colorbond roof? 32Nov 30, 2012 7:11 pm Thank you both I actually agree with you both after much thought! Its so damn confusing to choose all of this! What do you think about this option? I'm thinking about having the render in double strength 'shale grey', along with having the gutter and fascia in shale grey. Re: Anyone got a WINDSPRAY or WOODLAND GREY colorbond roof? 34Nov 30, 2012 9:36 pm Thank you so much for your opinions and advice Paul! I did a search for double strength shale grey and I found a pic from someone on here that had the double strength render and normal roller door on the garage. Looks good to me! Sounds like you have pretty much decided on your colour. We have windspray on ours, still being put on. viewtopic.php?f=38&t=61276&p=951710#p951710 How you have done the render above looks good. It is in harmony with the rest of the home. Re: Anyone got a WINDSPRAY or WOODLAND GREY colorbond roof? 36Dec 01, 2012 5:44 am Hi, we hired a colour consultant to help choose external colours. Her advice was to have your gutter same as roof but fascia a lighter colour. This will make house and roof look bigger then it is. Yep, having the gutter and fascia a lighter colour than the roof will have the same effect.. Re: Anyone got a WINDSPRAY or WOODLAND GREY colorbond roof? 38Dec 01, 2012 4:34 pm This is the double strength shale grey render that I found from homeone member 'Dark Angel'. The garage in the pic is normal shale grey.
