Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our build in Ellenbrook - Awaiting Titles/Site Survey 61Feb 05, 2013 4:31 pm Yeah we have the option of Intelligent Homes, however there prices are extortionate for the data cabling they are going to do, I can do the exact same work for less than a hundred bucks in terms of data cables to room, the only bit I couldn't likely do is the conduit for future NBN. In terms of security though, haven't heard much about there security systems. Still unable to get near the block as construction on the stage has just started, though we did go down the other day and pipes have started on the first road in the stage, quite interesting. Re: Our build in Ellenbrook - Awaiting Titles/Site Survey 66Mar 12, 2013 5:50 pm Hey folks, Just wanted to provide an update, nothing much going on. Found out from the developer that all of the blocks in my stage have now sold, so glad we got in early when we did, there is a picture below of the stage development, my block is in the distance where the cement mixer is, but its proceeding quite nicely which big changes every week Otherwise we are just ensuring everything is sorted with our colour selections and security systems, cabling etc prior to prestart. I just had my prestart and it was surprisingly smooth - I think checking things out at all the suppliers the previous 4 weekends helped a lot! Hopefully you'll get to building stage soon. Good luck. Glad to hear the prestart went well, we are expecting our build to start sometime in May, potentially early June with prestart probably a few weeks away. I couldnt have half a house by now lol Well we have been going down a lot, and everything appears to be on schedule, road surfaces are in, pipes etc are covered, they appear to just be flattening everything now, and the previous stage before ours we on time, so hopefully Received a financial extension from LWP until the 15th of May the other day as we wait for the titles, they said thats all we shall need so that tells me were not far off. It looks to be progressing pretty smoothly for you!? Hopefully sometime over the next two/three weeks pending the block being flat enough for the builder to do a site survey, they are expecting within a few weeks. Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 8 2222 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them.
