Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Boutique Homes 1662Jan 20, 2016 12:57 pm EN710 7th_Cavalry EN710 I'm considering the solar panel + battery! Wondering how much it would cost though Based on the news report they said between $10K to $18K would consider it.... maybe.... By the way, I just got quoted Driveway by Boutique approx. 26m2 Exposed Aggregate $3,510 Coloured Concrete $2,678 Expensive, good deal, or cheap? And if anyone wonder about pricing for bricks group 2 $720.00 group 5 $4,410.00 group 16 (burlesque majestic grey) $30,015.00 It's like $1K every category up I also ask for 3 coat instead of 2 coat paint. Upgrade is $989 - does this sounds right for you? DO you recommend upgrade to 3 coat paint? Do also an Off-white mortar for your bricks (looks better than ordinary). We got the cashew coloured driveway. Remember if you don't have your drive way concreted all the mud and dirt will go inside your house when you come in everyday. Better save the trouble and have it done during the build...the difference might not be that too big if you hire someone to do it for you. --------------------------------------------- Building a St. Tropez 25 - Boutique Homes Aurora Estate Wollert - Victoria Re: Boutique Homes 1663Jan 20, 2016 1:39 pm Thanks @joker will do then. Sigh... I always think 3 coat paints suppose to be standard with any builder! @7th_cavalry True. We probably won't have time to arrange driveway after either, so maybe just do it all together. DO you know if they can also concrete the side of the house? Just think maybe I should do it with the small garage side. Cashew colour is lovely! May I know how much is off white mortar upgrade? Less than $1K I forgot the exact price somewhere around $700 to 800. --------------------------------------------- Building a St. Tropez 25 - Boutique Homes Aurora Estate Wollert - Victoria Re: Boutique Homes 1666Jan 20, 2016 2:46 pm Flooring options Category Kempas 4 Carbonised(Bamboo) 4 Oak 5 Springwater Oak 5 Alpine Oak 5 Mocha Oak 5 Kosciusko Oak 5 Merbau 5 Atlas Oak 6 Tasmanian Oak 6 Pyrenees 6 Spotted Gum 7 Jarrah 7 Blackbutt 7 Rocky Oak 7 Carpathian (wide) 8 Antique Rossell 8 Walnut 8 More aligned towards walnut, spotted gum or bamboo. Re: Boutique Homes 1667Jan 20, 2016 8:06 pm I opted for 3 coats of paint $815, the cost is dependent on size of home. https://letsbuildwithboutique.wordpress.com Re: Boutique Homes 1668Jan 20, 2016 9:16 pm I'm getting mix reviews, some say if you plan to put featured wall and repaint after 3 years it is better to do 2, but a lot saying 3rd coat bec. some painters are not good in their work etc. 1 coat primer 2 x top coat (paint/color) --------------------------------------------- Building a St. Tropez 25 - Boutique Homes Aurora Estate Wollert - Victoria Re: Boutique Homes 1669Jan 21, 2016 10:56 am Hello, Based on the rough estimates I received from my sales consultant, I worked out the cost estimate for different categories of laminate/timber top flooring. Nice calculation Jeeman I'm wondering how much credit they're going to give back if you get flooring from outside. I'm guessing they'll only take the material cost out? I just sent an email to ask if I can source some tiles for the bathroom for them to install, would be interesting to see the amount of credit. I really like the wooden looking tiles in one of their display (https://www.instagram.com/p/8C8gQbQdzX/) which is apparently European tiles where they need to obtain quote on the day (and she said approx. $6000). The showroom only have 4 wood looking tiles in cat 4 so I'm looking for alternatives Re: Boutique Homes 1671Jan 21, 2016 1:16 pm EN710 Nice calculation Jeeman I'm wondering how much credit they're going to give back if you get flooring from outside. Wow, so if you have a 200sqm internal, the rebate is about $11K? Sounds plenty for whatever alternatives you want to choose. This will be applicable for the cat1 laminate area, which excludes Alfresco wet areas Carpet areas Garage.. For me, it was slightly more than 25% of total house area. And the rebate for cat1 carpet area was about half of cat1 laminate floor area.. Re: Boutique Homes 1674Jan 21, 2016 7:00 pm We finally had some good news we have our building permit!!! Re: Boutique Homes 1678Jan 22, 2016 3:57 pm Congratulations to all of you started their build. I haven't read through the entire forum.....what is the overall experience of other people in terms of building with Boutique? 1. Quality wise of their houses? 2. Overall build experience (I know some had issues). --------------------------------------------- Building a St. Tropez 25 - Boutique Homes Aurora Estate Wollert - Victoria Re: Boutique Homes 1679Jan 27, 2016 12:56 pm 7th_Cavalry Congratulations to all of you started their build. I haven't read through the entire forum.....what is the overall experience of other people in terms of building with Boutique? 1. Quality wise of their houses? 2. Overall build experience (I know some had issues). Would be keen to hear from others as well I was chatting with other people who build with other builder with really good rep (not boutique) and so far their experiences vary. A couple have problems especially due to their SS. I wonder if this is the same with Boutique. For those who have blogs, do you have guidelines of how much details of your build you are willing to share? Has anyone got into trouble due to what they wrote? Re: Boutique Homes 1680Jan 27, 2016 1:15 pm Joseph Lambert Anyone here have any idea about the popcorn ceiling. i need to get rid of this. Need some suggestion please guys Any photo Joseph?
