Thanks https://letsbuildwithboutique.wordpress.com Sounds like you'll be cutting it super fine which might be quite stressful. Many people leave their NHI with a list of items they're not happy with. Then you need to allow time for them to be rectified and another NHI arranged. Personally I'd ask for a small lease extension so that you don't feel pressured into cutting corners to get your keys. Was wondering if anyone have gone with Boutique's blind package? If yes, would you have pics? How do you find the quality ? We are hoping to get Boutique to do it as it will be more convenient as we are time-poor. But is unsure regarding the quality of the blinds. We are planning to get roller blinds throughout. But we need to decrease the house length by 1m (out lot is 16x32.2 and according to the spec this house requires a lot with 33m pf length); and we want to include a study room but not sure what we have to sacrifice, let's see what they come up with. Well, boutique can't do ALL OF THOSE MODIFICATIONS ... I mean.... how I can't put the master to rear and ALSO (how can I dare) include butler's pantry and powder room on the wc... ... it looks like we will continue shopping around. We want a builder who can adapt to our needs, not the other way around. They might be more flexible. The likes of Carlisle and Porter Davies are pretty strict from experience. Send from my phone. Pardon the incorrect autocorrect. Such a shame because I really thought I had found my house in the capri. Re: Boutique Homes 2834Sep 24, 2016 9:40 pm 7th_Cavalry Finally - bldg. plans pass thru to construction yesterday. I originally considered Boutique but settled on Arden becasue they allow you to change almost the whole floor plan without charging for the modications only if you add extra things in. They have a similar standard of inclusions to Boutique. Re: Boutique Homes 2837Sep 26, 2016 4:41 pm dave398 I actually must say my experience with Horizon has been fantastic. I can't fault them for anything. They worked around us, was flexible and very understanding. The pool and spa show helped in seeing the differences with the companies installing pools as Horizon was the only one who backs their shell and colourguard with lifetime warranty. In fact I jumped into the pool on Saturday as I said once the pools in I'm going to jump in (it was 17 degrees) http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/57e8c2f27395e/received_1689781208008484.jpeg? Re: Boutique Homes 2838Sep 26, 2016 7:24 pm Hi Dave, boutique couldn't accommodate our changes so they stopped calling me. Henley approved $60k worth of structural changes that turned a ,5 bed, 2 bath double garage into a 7 bed, 4 bath, converted garage into a larger room known as "home office" and extended the setback to meet the car parking regulations. Overall we are very happy with Henley, they accommodated changes with short notice right up to tender day. They have also granted me 4 weeks before we sign contract so we can view final drawings prior to signing contract. All the best with your journey.
