We got the electrical catalogue and the plans exactly a week before the appointment. Yeah I would expect a week too.. So much stuff to go through and decide. Thanks everyone, the email ended up coming through, was panicking for no reason. Re: Boutique Homes 2403Jun 07, 2016 8:51 pm mishstoj our_new_digs Does anyone know if you're permitted to do a caesarstone splash back in the Kitchen/Butler's? TIA You are permitted to do this as an option however must opt for induction stove top as well if you're going to do a stone splash back in the kitchen We really wanted to do this however the induction stove top was around 3k so we stuck with the glass option Thank you! I don't blame you, the ilve induction has pretty bad reviews. We're splashing out on the Miele induction so I'm really happy that caesarstone is an option for us. You can get Matt as standard, Sheen as an upgrade & then gloss is the createc. Once you get into the createc it goes up in price quite a lot, it added about 2k to our kitchen & we are building the providence with butlers pantry. If you email your Pre Start Consultant they will give you exact pricing. I was wondering if you got a credit on the light fittings that come as standard if you are replacing them with Downlights or Fluoros. Hey Robyng Yep! For any baton light you replace, you get a credit. Can't remember how much the credit was. I think from memory it was around $50. Re: Boutique Homes 2414Jun 08, 2016 4:06 pm Thanks everyone for your comments on cabinetry. Has anyone requested 2pac? If so, indication of $? Also, we're installing hardwood flooring after handover. Constantly coming up against a brick wall regarding installing mid construction so we're going to need to explore how to get the best finish while cutting in around the kitchen. Any tips from anyone else who has done hardwood? Re: Boutique Homes 2416Jun 08, 2016 5:07 pm skycloud Hi, Has anyone done a concrete path around the house through Boutique? Interested in knowing whether B will do it and approx costs per sq m. Thanks! hi skycloud, i don't remember the exact figures. but the quote from Boutique for concrete was about 50% more than the quote I received for exposed aggregate, from a local guy. Re: Boutique Homes 2417Jun 08, 2016 5:09 pm skycloud Hi, Has anyone done a concrete path around the house through Boutique? Interested in knowing whether B will do it and approx costs per sq m. Thanks! I have coloured concrete driveway through B and several months ago it was about 100 persqm The only reason I'm going worth them is because we are intestate and want things sorted all together. I'm sure there would be cheaper quotes or there Re: Boutique Homes 2418Jun 08, 2016 5:16 pm our_new_digs Thanks everyone for your comments on cabinetry. Has anyone requested 2pac? Constantly coming up against a brick wall regarding installing mid construction so we're going to need to explore how to get the best finish while cutting in around the kitchen. Any tips from anyone else who has done hardwood? We are doing flooring after handover. They won't let you install the flooring mid build simply because the flooring staff won't be inducted to be on Boutique site so not covered under insurance. Also then means if anything happens to the floors during the build they won't want to be liable for damages. Speak to the company doing your flooring it won't be the first time they will have had to cut in around a kitchen. We asked for our skirting to be left off and originally was told that was fine will be left off, uncut and unpainted in the garage. That didn't happen for whatever reason they have installed it.
