We actually wanted something of a white finish in the standard range and that is how we zeroed in on the Urban Fringe Praline. There was another one with has closest resemblance - Urban One Almond - but this is discontinued. Even though the Urban fringe Praline is also discontinued, the Austral is still providing this brick for my builder - McDonald Jones Homes. So, it would be really great if you can answer the following queries at the earliest as we have almost locked the colour selections : -
Appreciate your help and eagerly waiting for your response! Re: Boutique Homes 3403Apr 07, 2018 8:03 am Hi everyone I hope everyone is busy with their constructions or settling down. Just a quick one if someone can advise how long does it takes from the file going into construction to actual temporary fence going on site ? Also what does the site start date means - is it when the actual work begins or just when they put up fence. Thanks ! I believe its one of the last things before handover. The window guys come back to make sure all your windows and doors work correctly and install the fly screens. Re: Boutique Homes 3409Sep 05, 2018 7:57 am I have got couple of quotes for the concrete work which includes driveway and path around house. I have been quoted around $135 Sq mtr for Exposed aggregate with SL62 and 35mPA. Not sure what the technical terms mean but is the price per Sq m okay or too much ? Thanks for your help ! Re: Boutique Homes 3410Aug 13, 2019 6:56 pm Hi, Firstly, some great posts and information here, but why have people stopped posting about Boutique Homes? We're about to embark on a Montauk KDR and have some questions: * Are electrical and other wiring connections to island benches in place before the slab is poured or do they grind out a recess for that stuff after the slab is done? * In two story homes, how do people replace the downlight drivers / transformers or completely integrated downlight in the enclosed cavity? Do you just find someone with a small hand to reach in through the hole to unplug it from the socket or do you need to start cutting plaster? * Do people normally get a lawyer and building inspector to go over the HIA contract? * Has anyone had Boutique upgrade insulation to acoustic grade, or even had it placed in internal walls? * How receptive are Boutique to let you run your own cabling in the house once the frame is up? * How do people decide how many downlights they need for a large room? * And finally, what do people normally do regarding house insurance during the build? Thanks! Re: Boutique Homes 3411Aug 14, 2019 10:19 am Hi bottledfrog, I have been living in a KDR boutique home for 3 years and here is what i know.

Thanks! Warranty service is ok but paint was appalling and they categorically state it's fine. We've been in over a year and the home is waterproof. Go nuts with insulation and double glazing upgrades Re: Boutique Homes 3414Aug 14, 2019 2:28 pm I have few things to add that i hope will be useful.

Re: Boutique Homes 3418Jun 06, 2020 5:02 pm I just got back from visiting a couple of display homes; my gosh, did I have the most disgusting sales person I've ever had in my entire life at Boutique homes in Point Cook. Who practically didn't even want to talk to me without knowing my budget, If i was happy to get a 'base' legit home my budget is irrelevant; tells me that my site costs will be 35k, and I said mate you havent even seen my block they could come in at 20k and then i've got 10k more towards my budget. He kept telling me thats not how boutique work, all I wanted to know was is the height of the bench-top in X display home was the standard inclusion? If youre looking to go with boutique visit rockbank over point cook, don't want him getting any commission.... Thank F the lady at Rockbank was ALOT more nicer, willing to offer information of standard inclusions Re: Boutique Homes 3419Jun 07, 2020 5:43 pm You must of had a great warranty rep coz somehow all my repairs get delayed. I would never build with boutique again. What we have experienced is just a whole lot of bullsh*t, but according to the warranty manager what we have is nothing to compared to what his seen. House is nearly 4 yrs old, I have 4 walls that are completely warped, squareset cornices all pulled apart, my tile spilt into 2, grout cracked apart from tiles, I had 2 waterfall features in the 1st year and currently cracking on every single walls. In fact I can fit credit card through about 5 walls. Only thing i am looking forward too is private inspector doing a inspect again and giving me a report. kdring I have few things to add that i hope will be useful.
