If you are relying on email communication then that is your first problem. There's a time and a place for getting certain things in writing but if you're sitting in limbo land I would be getting on the phone. Call reception, ask to speak with your Pre-Start's manager. It is simply not acceptable to go MIA without good reason. Your Pre-Start may have suddenly become unwell or forgotten to follow something up regarding your build. Boutique are currently booked out for Colours & Electrical appointments well into January 2017 so it sounds like they are incredibly busy. You might not feel like it is your "job" to keep your builder accountable but if you want to progress your job and get answers you need to be persistent and keep them on their toes. It's not the way it should be, but it is what it is. Good luck.
