Thanks. I'm glad its all cleaned up for you now and looking better. Did you see the house before handover? As you could have told them the problems you had and got them to fix before you went in. A lot of people i know have built woth other builders and have had far worse problems like the slab and frame sinking... no shelves in cupboards.. house just looking plain cheap and tacky. I get where you are coming from.. the house should have been perfect and spotless. The only issue we had was a bit of mess on site. One missing bulb and bath plug... bad painter did some rough jobs so some cleaning still to be done there. But honestly no one would know.. i think the extra cost was completely worth it. Not to sound arrogant but me and my husband are constantly asked who we built with and told how amazing our home looks. It looks complete quality. I feel like i am constantly staying in a hotel. I was also so worried that once we moved in they would ignore us and not be helpful but i have been pretty impressed with that too. You will without a doubt have issues with any builder... this is why so many people are afraid to build. I would do it all over again and wouldn't discourage anyone from building with them in fact i would recommend them by far. Everyone has different experiences and its good that this forum is a outlet for people to make up their own minds to choose boutique or not. I think my home looks high end and thats what i wanted... i wasnt gona get that from burbank or some other builder. Its like i stepped out of a boutique display home and into my own. Yes there were issues but your dealing woth builders who have all these idiot tradesmen to deal with. I dont think my house would be any good if i had to do that so thats what we pay the builder for. Look forward to seeing lovely photos and once all your furniture is in you wont see the little things and they will come back and fix them. They also give you a 12 month that other builders dont. So you can get other issues you come across resolved then too.
