That's exactly how I've envisioned mine to be like, except for the metal roofing and my bricks will be darker as I've selected Pepperwood. Which colour did you choose for your render and gutters/fascia/downpipes btw? I'd be really interested to know. Thanks! Re: Boutique Homes 665Nov 15, 2014 7:33 am Oh just wanted to share out there...Boutique has a Refer a friend program: At Boutique we are proud of every new home we build. Many of our clients have returned to build second and third homes for their families and for investment purposes. So, if you’ve built with us before and want to refer a friend, when they build with us you’ll receive a $750 Myer voucher to spend on your choice of reward. Your friend will also be rewarded with a $750 Palette voucher to spend in our state of the art colour showroom. - See more at: http://www.boutiquehomes.com.au/refer-f ... p2OOs.dpuf To be eligible for the Refer a Friend reward, both the Referrer & the Referred must enter into and complete a building contract with Boutique Homes. The Referrer will receive a $750 Myer voucher when the Referred reaches construction stage (RTS). The Referred will receive a $750 Palette voucher for use at Pre-start. The Palette bonus must be provided as a credit in the PWC at point of sale by your New Homes Consultant. This referral promotion will end at the discretion of Boutique Homes management and the decision of management will be final and not contested. - See more at: http://www.boutiquehomes.com.au/terms-a ... 2Td2U.dpuf Thought'd we'd be able to help each other out. If anyone is interested please let me know! Thanks Boutique Homes 666Nov 15, 2014 8:03 am Hi Jendulz, Thanks.. The render colours were buff it (lighter) and exposed element (darker). Since we chose our colours last year, they were using colorbond and the colour was monument. I think the matching colour in their new range is monolith for the gutters/facia/downpipes.. Here's a better shot of the darker render Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Boutique Homes 667Nov 15, 2014 12:05 pm Fruitlubes - looking great. A lot of our facade colours are similar but I checked with the SS yesterday & he conbfirmed my renders were the opposite way around to yours - I prefer your version so might have to get out the paint in a year or so. What are the lights above your island bench? I'm a bit daunted at all of the chinamans hats I have - a lot of pendant shopping ahead & I can never make up my mind on those. I like the woody panel on the island, what colour benchtops are you getting? Boutique Homes 668Nov 15, 2014 12:50 pm Thanks Bandha.. I was actually wanting it the other way round at first but am happy it's this way now.. They're just the chinaman hats at the moment as I'm going to put in pendants.. Wanting to put in these over the bench Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And one of these in the dining area to match the colours Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The benches were getting is Osprey. It's their blackbutt looks great in the sample, but all the photos I've seen make it look really rustic.. I hope it doesn't.. Re: Boutique Homes 669Nov 15, 2014 12:53 pm Hi All, Bandha, You should be ok with the fence line, as long as the boundary markers on the front and rear corners of your respective properties are still marked and the fence line is a strait line. Either way, your fencer should tell you if a new survey needs to be performed. That said, all the fencers we asked for quotes told us they would only perform the work if the property line was clearly marked and took no liability for building the fence in the incorrect location. That said, if the property markers are no longer in place, you will either need to get Boutique to re-survey your block (if they removed the markers) and mark the boarders or source the survey once your build is done. We just organised our rear fence, surveyors quoted approximately $2,000 to mark the boundaries (assuming no house on the block, more if a house is there....) and Boutique quoted about $750 for a 're-establishment' survey. Luckily, we were able to put the rear fence up without surveying the rear boarder as we were able to measure off our neighbours existing fence. As a general update for everyone, we received town planning approval on Friday, exactly 1 year since we signed our PWC and just over a year after owning the land!!!! Hopefully, building permits happen fast and Boutique can start the build this side of Christmas!!!!! Re: Boutique Homes 670Nov 15, 2014 2:23 pm fruitlubes ... The benches were getting is Osprey. So it a white with little flecks through it..... Mine is also Osprey Szep - thanks for the info. I'm afraid there's no sign of boundary markers at the back now. My neighbours on either side all built around the same time, the houses are all pretty close & it's been a clay quagmire at the back, so tradies just drove trucks over everything to get access. I really hope I don't have to stump up $2K. The nighbour on the other side just used a tape measure to get his width from his other neighbour's marker, but continuing that might compound any error. Congrats on the approval - 1 year seems a hell of a long time to get to this stage. Mine will work out to about 14 months from land & house selection to moving in (& we had 3 months delay from the elec. authority for land titling). Re: Boutique Homes 672Nov 17, 2014 9:47 am Bandha fruitlubes ... The benches were getting is Osprey. So it a white with little flecks through it..... Mine is also Osprey We intended to go with Osprey as well, but it just didn't work when matched up against our floor tiles (Stone Ivory), so we opted for a darker grey with Urban for the benchtops. Great taste nonetheless Bit of an update on my end: We now have an official start date of this Friday the 21st of November! The handover day on Wednesday was a bit of a stuff around though. Our FOHG application had expired due to the time it took for Boutique to sort out the contracts and get us to site since the original loan approval. So we had to re-apply for this and of course it hadn't been approved by Wednesday (handover day). This meant we had to provide proof of available bank funds (luckily we had this at the ready), which they told us at 2.15pm with us needing to get them official documentation before 3pm. A little frustrating as we have been EXTREMELY quick to get back to them with everything (even on work days), yet they left this until the last hour of our handover date to let us know we would need to do this or our site start would be delayed. Would have been nice to have been given a heads up or some more notice. No harm done though, onwards to site start! Our Site Supervisor is CI, wondering if anyone else has had him and has any comments they can PM me? As a side note: It's very lucky I work in an office and have instant access to emails, a printer and a scanner. I can't imagine it would be much fun being a trades-person or something similar without this sort of access and constantly needing to print off/sign/scan/re-send so much documentation! 26/07/2014 - PWC signed 07/11/2014 - Contract signed 21/11/2014 - Site start 5/12/2014 - Slab 11/12/2014 - Frame 23/01/2015 - External Lock-up Re: Boutique Homes 673Nov 18, 2014 10:43 am Hi everyone, It's been a while since I've posted my updates since I was on my holidays. @Pippa, Bandha, Shalee, Fruitlubes, Suarnga & Theon - Thanks for all the advice & suggestions you guys had given me before my selections day. If you guys remember I wanted to get bulkheads in the living room for the TV wall which was missed out in our PwC. As you guys suggested we requested it to our Pre-start consultant on our colour selections day & she did add it without any extra fee or penalty. It was an awesome start for our selections process. Couldn't have asked for more. @ Pippa - You house has come out fabulous. Love the interiors & the flooring. Flooring is a stand out. Worth all the hard work you did. Where did you get the chairs for island bench? Love them!!! @ Bandha - Your house is very unique & pretty awesome than what I've seen so far dude. Specially the colours. Blue, looks amazing!!! @ Shalee - How is the Caesarstone benchtop looking? looking as you expected? @ Suranga - I hope they speed up the construction. @ Fruitlubes - The front of your house is very similar to our selections as well. Looks very good & I'm happy that we have made good selections as I can see how it's gonna look like. Also love those lights dude. very trendy @ Jendulz - Hats off for the detailed post you wrote. Thumbs up!!! We are signing our contracts this month 27th & hope the site cost still remains as it is in PwC & no surprises. Unfortunately our land loan has come $20K short & we have challenged it the land settlement is mid December & hoping to get it resolved by then. Re: Boutique Homes 674Nov 19, 2014 7:37 am @Bandha, Fruitlubes - Have you both used the offwhite mortar with your bricks? Re: Boutique Homes 676Nov 19, 2014 10:21 am Thanks Sanjay. I have no experience with this, but I think it's quite simple to replace a board in floating floors like ours. Re: Boutique Homes 678Nov 19, 2014 10:36 am Thanks Bandha, I think I was worried there would be more black lines and knots that would make it that way.. But yeah it turned out ok.. Except the one plank. They aren't but depends if they will do it for me or leave any for me to replace at a later date. But I think once the furniture goes in it won't be as noticeable Re: Boutique Homes 680Nov 19, 2014 1:24 pm @Fruitlubes: Floor looks amazing man. Has anyone chosen the Smokey grey one? We have & couldn't find one single display house with that flooring. 10 15761 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74717 |
