Goes really well with the red splashback and dark cupboards. Re: Custom loft with Format in SA- Tiles photos 423Oct 30, 2013 3:16 pm PCI is booked for Friday, finally! Now we have to get bunch of contractors (Air Con.,Flooring, Network/sound, blinds etc.) to finish their work and get a final payment from the bank. As things are looking now we are moving in 2 weeks. Anything could happen between now and then, but hopes are high. Re: Custom loft with Format in SA- Tiles photos 424Oct 30, 2013 5:06 pm Woo hoo! Two weeks ... have you packed? Re: Custom loft with Format in SA- Tiles photos 426Oct 31, 2013 2:49 am who do u use for ur blinds/curtains?? i am also looking for one....headache 7.5M Dual Frontage terrace @ lightsview SA /viewtopic.php?f=31&t=58754 moved in - April 2014 furnitured - August 2014 home theatre - September 2014 Game room - December 2013 moved in - 09 April 2014 Re: Custom loft with Format in SA- Tiles photos 427Oct 31, 2013 9:29 am We are using variety of blinds-curtains for different rooms. For instance double pleated curtains combined with venetian blinds in the bedbroom for maximum sound-light insulation and privacy. Or Luxaflex Silhouettes for the big windows in the living room. Suppliers-installers we use are different as there is no one outlet which has all the products we want. I'd suggest you to go to some big blinds retailer first, like Betta or Kornblum, show them your plans and ask for advice. Once you get an idea on what kind of products are the best for you, you can shop around for the best price. At least that's what we did. Re: Custom loft with Format in SA- PCI booked 428Nov 02, 2013 5:39 pm PCI stage is over and looks like we will be definitely moving in in two weeks Overall everything went well, few paint fixes here and there are still required which should be done during next week as well as some electrical fittings. Overall we are pretty happy that waiting is finally over. It took Format 7 months from the slab till handover which is rather slow although exatly what they say in a contract.

Still loving those skylights Re: Custom loft with Format in SA- Handover's coming!!! 430Nov 03, 2013 8:07 am Everything looks beautiful. Slow and steady wins the race--it might have seemed long, but when you consider how much goes into building a house, and how much it cots, it is worth taking the time to do it well. Here's to move-in day! Re: Custom loft with Format in SA- Handover's coming!!! 431Nov 03, 2013 9:24 am I agree with Lucinda, and it all looks great. And as long as you know up front in the contract that is fine. The builders that are the problem are the ones that promise short build times then use every possible excuse clause later on. I had thought about doing dark grey tiles in our ensuite and my mum went on about how dark the room would be and blah blah blah. Wish I hadn't listened to her on that cause it looks great!
